ICE has purchased a warehouse in Salt Lake City for $145 million dollars amid rumors that ICE plans on opening a new detention center in the region.
ICE's Salt Lake Field Office oversees Nevada, Montana, and Idaho. There are rumors it plans to expand detention in Nevada.

A disastrous start to 2026 - Strip gaming revenue fell 11% in January to $747.6M
Every market in Southern Nevada - except North Las Vegas and Mesquite - fell in the month.
Nevada overall was down than 6.5%.
A good month from Northern Nevada softened the dip.
