The mammalian Zn-dependent #HDACs are very diverse. They target various acyl-lysine modifications and acetylation of polyamines and other molecules.
This study led by Michael Lammers and Leonie Graf @uni_greifswald trace these features in bacteria🦠!

I am really excited to share our latest #sirtuin research on @biorxivpreprint!
We used mechanism-based crosslinking to solve the structure of SIRT7 and its interaction with biological substrates on the nucleosome.
