Do you agree with @bobbyhollywood and friends that it is a great time to be in L&D? Is L&D really better, more appealing or rewarding now than it was in the past? open.spotify.com/episode/4Gl…
This from 4 years ago when being inspired by Netflix did necessary mean wanting to be a "Netflix of Learning". What industries or organisations should we in L&D be inspired by in 2022? hrmagazine.co.uk/content/new…

Interesting piece suggesting that for impact virtual beats in-person training events. Worth a read, even if I think, and as they acknowledge later in the piece, they are actually identifying the value of spreading learning out vs. a single intervention. fastcompany.com/90740874/thi…

Interesting perspective on Micro-Learning. Seems harsh after all a lot of what #learningdevelopment folks do is about supporting performance! Micro-Learning can be right intervention even if it doesn't produce the "kind" of person you think you want.
"Micro-learning is probably about producing micro-people. We should aim much, much higher." Niels Pflaeging

While that is an extreme example, the tendency; not to support change and employee growth is all too common, it is, to my mind the biggest barrier to performance improvement and success for L&D functions.
Today marks the middle of #MensHealthWeek , designed to encourage men to think and talk about physical and mental health. The Organiser @MensHealthForum provides various ideas and resources to support Men's Health, check out menshealthforum.org.uk/mhw

Been with @lcndotcom for a long time, they have really gone downhill in recent years! They seem to go out of their way to make it hard to do business with them.
Came across this interpretation of the Model for #learninganddevelopment. I was surprised by some of the items included in the 70%, experiential, learning on the job phase? Cans items like #VR and #scenarios be considered real work challenges and experience?
