On the night of the invasion, @FalklandsRadio's Patrick Watts kept the station on air and spoke to Governor Rex Hunt over the airwaves as he came under fire at Government House.
The recording is an extraordinary historical document of the night's events.

Now 105 years old, Flt Lt Bell was a RAF Mosquito pilot during World War II. He gave a book about his experiences to His Majesty today.
During the audience, The King presented Flt Lt Bell with the citation to his Distinguished Flying Cross, which was originally awarded to him by King George VI in 1945.
Prince William and Princess Anne had a lovely interaction with students at Christ College Brecon in Wales yesterday after attending the memorial service for Dame Shân Legge-Bourke. 🏴❤️

.@Glanusk it is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Dame Shân Legge-Bourke DCVO who died last night peacefully surrounded by her family. A remarkable lady whose lifetime of service to her country , nation and countless organisations she supported.
Apparently this belter showed up at Llandudno on Sunday dressed as a Rear Admiral, wearing a DSO and other multiple medals he couldn’t have earned, and claiming honours no serving RN officer holds. He appeared uninvited and saluted the memorial.
Does anyone know who he is?
