Yesterday, the LOCAL GoGREEN Project celebrated its 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 in #Zagreb (#Croatia ) LOCAL GoGREEN partners and several rural municipalities gathered in a hybrid event, both in Zagreb and online, for a full day dedicated to collaboration and shared learning, under the theme: “From Plans to Action: Delivering the Clean Energy Transition in Rural Municipalities.” Organised as a hybrid event—with participants both on-site in Zagreb and connected online—this #transnational roundtable and regional assembly proved to be a highly participatory meeting, bringing together experts, local authorities, and practitioners in the #energytransition to explore: 🟢 Approaches to strengthening cooperation among rural #municipalities 🟢 Local obstacles encountered when implementing clean energy measures 🟢 Expert insights into building energy efficiency, renewable energy, land‑use challenges, and e‑mobility 🟢 A dedicated discussion on overcoming implementation barriers and the crucial role of inter‑municipal collaboration The meeting marked an important milestone in supporting Europe’s rural areas as they advanced from strategy to tangible, on‑the‑ground action in the #greentransition. 🌿 Progress in the @LocalGoGreen project Partner Meetings 🤝 💫 Yesterday marked an important milestone for the Local GoGREEN initiative as all project partners came together for a round of coordination and progress meetings in #Zagreb. Our shared mission is to improve #sustainability in small and remote European municipalities, empowering local authorities to develop and implement effective #climate plans and #cleanenergy strategies. 👉 Throughout the day, all project partners actively participated in the meetings, including: Enerkon d.o.o. 🌿 LOCAL GoGREEN Partners Meeting Underway in #Zagreb! The LOCAL GoGREEN partners of the project are gathered this week in Zagreb, #Croatia, for a new partners meeting dedicated to advancing our shared mission of supporting greener, more resilient local communities. 🟢 One of the key objectives of the first day was a technical visit to a renewable energy facility that converts garden waste into clean heating energy for plant greenhouses. Participants had the chance to see firsthand how this innovative biomass system transforms municipal gardening residues into hot water used for greenhouse heating, significantly reducing reliance on natural gas. A dedicated storage tank allows the system to regulate temperature according to real-time needs, ensuring both #energyefficiency and optimal conditions for plant cultivation. But the visit was just the second part… 👉 First, the project partners started the day with an intensive working agenda throughout the meeting.
