My @thehwcollectlve debut: No Start. No Now. No Future? Game Over? Brandon Boston Jr., Sharife Cooper, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Dalen Terry, and Jarred Vanderbilt have shared promising, imperfect career beginnings. How much can be expected moving forward? Star-impact outcomes?

Nah, but I can prop the true Chicago Sky sleeper prospect: Aicha Coulibaly NCAA query=drafted, 4 USG%, 3 STL%, 2 BLK%, 15 AST%, sub-15 TOV% Scoring is pretty cooked (36 2PT%), but NCAA OAS -> pro FT% leap kicked in (89%), and has the best/only positive net rtg on the team by far
Replying to @NileHoops
eye guess I can’t be delusional

Going into his 4th professional basketball season, Jalen Slawson has been coined "The Man On the Moon," existing as a prospect unable to yield the advantages of the portal, yet still getting drafted from a small school.
New writing on some of my favorite prospects in this upcoming portal class! Also featuring some historic background on the portal, and the players to come before it Link below ⬇️

Finn (@FinnDraft) and Nile (@NileHoops) are joined by Luc (@AtTheLevel) to give their final scouting reports on all of the best point guards in the 2026 NBA Draft. Hear their thoughts on every guard prospect mocked in the first round (Mikel Brown, Darius Acuff, Keaton Wagler, Ebuka Okorie, Christian Anderson, Bennett Stirtz), as well as all of their favorite sleepers in the second round (Bruce Thornton, Ja’Kobi Gillespie, Jack Kayil, Quadir Copeland). Links below:
Finn (@FinnDraft), Nile (@NileHoops), and Avi (@100guaranteed) pick who they think will be selected by each team based on GM history, intel, and more. Hear their thoughts on the best player-team fits within the T3, Mikel Brown Jr as a Clipper, and more. Links to all podcast platforms below 👇:

While Tobias Harris never found the lofty heights predicted by Flocka, his NBA peak speaks to the relevance of prospects with developed (LeBron-esque?) physiques (38' max vert, 223 pounds, 3.17 sprint @ ~19 years old) and hitting admittedly mediocre physical/processing baselines
Tobias Harris the next Lebron James

I got more anti-Rondo prop!!! Rubio CLEARS fwiw RR shot 26 FT% (5-19) in the 2010 Finals, and instead of improving, altered his process to avoid FTs, posting his lowest career FTr to that point in 2011 (.19, .32 in his first 4 szns, .44 @ UK) Pinnacle of a scared man @ age 23/24
11 Sep 2024
Ricky Rubio played 20k minutes from 2012-22 and was a 2.1 on-court and a 5 net, while never shooting above league average TS% (and was nowhere near for 5/10 seasons) Pretty goated, better overall than Rondo? I believe so. Post-ACL rondo was so dreadful.

And it's not like he improved at the line either. 58% from the line on 870 RS attempts from 2011-2020, after being a marginally better 63% over his first four seasons Keep this mouse out of Dr. Neismith's Hall at all costs.

Today, Finn (@FinnDraft) and Nile (@NileHoops) answer some questions asked by listeners via Twitter. Hear them answer questions such as “If you only had access to 3 Data points ( like ft%, height, dunks etc….) to evaluate a prospect, which ones would you choose?”, “Anything you’ve seen from these playoffs that is influencing your board or draft philosophies?”, and “What prospect are you the most worried about being wrong about and why?”. Euro-step 3-pointers -not that hard to do, just foreign -was a very ineffective animation in 2k13 so I’ve seen it lead to a made shot before -etc

I have both decided and concluded that three-point line post-ups are the final frontier of basketball with the current court layout, though that should also be altered
