What must we do to be saved? "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved..." Acts 16:31 The Gospel is all of grace and simple, but many stumble over it because it goes against our desire to do something to save ourselves. Come to Jesus, read more: bityl.co/53hu

It's great when fake Christians stop pretending. Praise the Lord for removing the infection.
A Protestant Deacon becomes an Orthodox Catechumen. Pray for him, America will be holy ☦️

😒☹️ #OTD 1549 Anabaptist Elizabeth Dirks is drowned in a bag in the Netherlands. Her Catholic captors, in an attempt to get her to betray the name of the person who baptized her, had tortured her with thumbscrews until blood spurted from under her fingernails,

This is engagement farming, not at all a serious question.
Serious question If the Bible alone is the final authority, why do sincere Christians reach opposite conclusions from the same text while all claiming the Holy Spirit guided them?

The Orthodox hypocrisy never ends. The EO doctrine of the church is a convoluted, irrational process of self-authentication. As usual, they simply put themselves above the Word of God. It's OK for them, but not for anyone else.
If marks = authentication This coin authenticates itself.

The Scriptures that Protestants, EO, and Romanists agree are inspired prove that neither EO nor Romanism is the church of Christ. The canon debate is a red herring to distract from the reality that organizations with a false gospel are apostate and have no canonical authority.

Orthodoxy doesn't have a fixed canon, but the chronically online inquirers are too busy engaging in unauthorized polemics to learn about it. They openly embrace canonical relativism (principle of oikonomia). Honest Orthodox will admit it, but it ruins their bad canon objections.

Intentionally avoiding conception is a sin because it requires you to reject the truth that children are a blessing. It's a rejection of the creation mandate and the purpose of marriage.
Sterilization should never be done carelessly, and it should be the man’s burden, argues @Justin_W_Earley. christianitytoday.com/2026/0…

The best argument for the correct 66-book canon is that everyone with a different canon has a false gospel.

Paul, after becoming a Christian: β€œBrothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. It is with respect to the hope and the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial.”
Imagine saying the Pharisees are God's chosen people

God always has good intentions for the evil that he creates and actively/immediately causes. Those who know the Lord are greatly comforted by this truth.

This question shows how important Epistemology is. Christians who have not been taught Biblical Epistemology, but instead embrace one of the many worldly conceptions, will be greatly distressed by questions of canon. How do you know anything? Wrong answers are fatal.
If Scripture alone is the only infallible final authority, how do you infallibly know which books belong in the Bible?

Shawn's comment amounts to 'God enables men to be God.' Consistent Calvinists deny the idea of common grace, by the way.
The Bible never makes a distinction between common grace and special grace. Grace is grace. God gives grace to all men. He allows men the ability to determine how they will respond to His grace, which is given to all in various degrees.

Precisely no one will be shocked when Joel becomes a Romanist when he finds it convenient to do so.
Common Mel W Jesus, in the Spirit, descended to hades, proclaimed his victory to the demons and reprobates in hell, and led all the saints out of Abraham’s bosom to heaven. None of this conflicts with Evangelicalism. Evangelicals are unfortunately just ignorant.

Consider understanding Calvin's epistemology before pontificating. "I call that knowledge, not what is innate in man (pure rationalism) nor what is by diligence acquired (empiricism), but that which is delivered to us by the Law and the Prophets." (Commentary on Jer. 44:3)

If you're a self-professing Calvinist who's allergic to the phrase "the light of nature," then you likely haven't read Calvin's own (positive) comments on "the light of nature."

Next, they'll tell us we evolved from monkeys or something stupid like that. I pray Bill Craig never has to suffer the embarrassment of science telling him that aliens are real.
Religious leaders told 'prepare now' for UFO disclosure to unleash Bible-changing revelations

God interrupts the course of sinners to prevent them from sinning when he wants to. It's replete in Scripture. This destroys many attempts to explain away evil on the basis of 'free will.'
