"The first step in liquidating a people is to erase its memory. Destroy its books, its culture, its history. Then have someone write new books, manufacture a new culture, invent a new history. Before long the nation will begin to forget what it is and what it was.” Milan Kundera

DOI: not an expert, but comprehension of the evidence will point out, this view is completely baseless. MBRRACE, Ockenden, and Kirkup maternity inquiries have all repeatedly identified failures in escalation by midwives, poor multidisciplinary working, professional tribalism and cultures where concerns were not acted upon. The evidence points to systemic failures, not “doctors taking over maternity”. Largely, doctors were insufficiently involved, called too late, or actively excluded from decision-making. Time for reflection; not deflection!

'Doctors have taken over maternity, and they're not doing it very well.' Former president of the Royal College of Midwives, Caroline Flint, is 'distraught' by the news of further maternity failings in the NHS.

The sentences handed to four young activists for taking direct action at an Israeli arms factory are completely disproportionate and wrong. They've been sentenced for a "terrorist connection" they were never charged with. A clear miscarriage of justice and dangerous precedent.

Wes Streeting is the problem. They sell their soul’s to private healthcare & we suffer for that. They run the NHS not the Health Secretary. Just a fraction of what he took in opposition.

PF cost £645million for 2yrs. That would employ you about 2500 WTE GPs, offering about 26 million appts with fully medically qualified Drs over that time. Which is better and safer for patients?

They will half treat the infections and we can expect drug resistance to go up. One sore throat was paratonsillar abscess ruptured and another sinusitis burrowed into brain causing pituitary apoplexy...cases can get worse quickly..it's not "simple" urti or sinusistis

We've written to the Secretary of State and NHS England CEO calling for urgent action to address unsafe doctor substitution by employers. The letter comes in the wake of our survey report revealing doctors' serious concerns over patient safety. 🔗 cdn.intelligencebank.com/eu/…

PFI is crippling NHS trusts, not just in terms of repayment but also with its impact on maintenance and the inability to adapt to changing service needs over decades. We cannot afford to repeat this mistake and inflict more damage on the NHS for the sake of private profit.
PFI in our NHS was a costly disaster. It funnelled billions away from patient care and into the pockets of private firms. I've written to the new Health Secretary urging him to ditch Wes Streeting's plan to use private finance schemes to build new neighbourhood health centres.

The GMC can be the regulator of doctors and various quacks. There’s no reason the BMA cannot create a voluntary register for doctors only. A register-regulator split. Oh… and BMA coordinated mass withdrawal of GMC fees. Hit ‘em where it hurts!
Replying to @JatinderHayre_
Clearly there needs to be a new register paid and overseen by actual doctors. If the GMC doesn’t keep a correct medical register, doesn’t maintain standards and actively works against its original purpose how can it be that doctors have to pay for it? Parliamentary review needed.

NP ordered 3 CT scans of the humerus, shoulder, and chest for bicep tendinitis I told the patient to get an MRI instead if the cortisone shot I gave him didn’t work He got better and didn’t get the MRI nor the cancer from the 3 CT scans.

The GMC reforms that are on the table won’t fix what’s broken. Doctors are being let down by a system that lacks fairness, patients are feeling the impact too. We need to see real change. Sign the petition👉 petition.parliament.uk/petit…
