Age is just a number. This 92-year-old Chinese great-grandma just proved she doesn't belong there! Cheers to her courage and determination! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’

One Countryโ€™s Trash Strategy Is Becoming the Worldโ€™s Power Source ๐ŸŒโ™ป๏ธโšก China is sharing its advanced waste sorting & waste-to-energy technologies w. 40 countries incl. Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Poland, Germany, Mauritius, & Ethiopia thru BRI partnerships, equipment exports, & turnkey projects. While AI-powered sorting is new domestically, the underlying systems build on decades of expertise that China now exports. #WasteToEnergy #CircularEconomy #CleanTech
The most brutal part is not that China is using AI to sort garbage. It is that China has pushed waste management so far that the old problem has reversed. China used to worry about having too much garbage to process. Now some waste-to-energy plants are facing the opposite problem: not enough garbage. Previously sealed landfills may even have to be reopened, not because China failed, but because waste has become fuel, feedstock, data, and part of an industrial recycling loop. This is what China does best. It takes the ugliest, dirtiest, most ignored corner of urban life โ€” garbage โ€” and turns it into engineering, automation, energy recovery, environmental governance, and industrial optimization. Even trash gets absorbed into the machine. In many countries, garbage is where governance collapses. In China, even garbage becomes a system.

Why do you keep reminding us about our mini recession? If you were the PM, things wouldn't have improved but worsened. So, shut your big mouth! ๐Ÿค If you stand with Canada during this difficult time, I suggest you lead by volunteering to cut your pay, staff, and perks. Rent out Stornoway. Let other MPs follow your example. That way, you genuinely demonstrate leadership in this country and will win the seat you deserveโ€” not the one a winner gave up for you!

In Canada, at Wendy's, with USD$10, all you can get is a salad and a small hot coffee. USD$10 = CAD$14 a $2.09 coffee a $9.99 salad = CAD$12.08 x 1.13 = CAD$13.65 (taxes in)

When health is concerned, can we take a chance on India? Also, China has never promoted its health services to foreigners. Health services are universally expensive. China subsidizes primarily by funding over 95% of the population's basic medical insurance and providing a free package of basic public health services.

That's a whole week of rice for me! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Western media loves the "SLAVE LABOR" narrative, but the reality in China? Free meals, free dorms, 2-hour lunch naps, and nursing breaks are common perks. Fun fact: breastfeeding breaks are legally mandated the moment a company has even one nursing mother. The rest? Pure competitiive practices to attract talent. Even my relatives' 200-worker factories in Guangdong offer all of these, plus paid day trips and double Lunar New Year pay.
Common benefits offered to Chinese employees include: three meals a day at very low cost or free of charge, free single dormitory accommodations (with family dormitories available at very low rent), and two hours of nap time for lunch.

Inside the Gaokao: China's Life-Altering National Exam Did you know that the largest examination in the world takes place annually in China? It's called the Gaokao, the National College Entrance Examination, and it's a monumental event that shapes the future of millions. By 2026, an estimated 12 million students are expected to sit for this grueling test, which is far more than just an academic assessmentโ€”it's a pivotal moment that can define a person's life trajectory. A Gateway to the Future The Gaokao is the primary determinant for which university a student can attend, making it a critical gateway to higher education and future career opportunities. For students and their families, the exam represents the culmination of years of relentless hard work, hope, and dreams. The pressure is immense, as a single score can open doors to prestigious institutions or limit future prospects, making it one of the most significant events in a young person's life. Years of Intense Preparation Preparation for the Gaokao is a marathon, not a sprint. Students dedicate months, and often years, to intensive study. Their days are filled with long hours of learning, practicing countless exercises, and mastering a wide range of subjects including Chinese, mathematics, English, and science. This rigorous process is not just a test of knowledge; it's an ultimate trial of focus, endurance, and sheer determination. The exam itself typically lasts for two to three days, during which students must remain calm under pressure, manage their time impeccably, and perform at their absolute best. A Nation Unites in Support What makes the Gaokao truly remarkable is the way an entire society rallies to support the students. During the exam period, a quiet, focused atmosphere descends upon cities across the country. Construction work may be paused to reduce noise, traffic is carefully managed to ensure students arrive on time, and police officers are deployed to protect exam routes. Entire communities, from parents and teachers to volunteers and even strangers, come together to create the best possible environment for the test-takers. This collective effort underscores the Gaokao's profound national significance. It's more than just an exam; it's a reflection of a nation's hopes for its youth and the story of a society that stands united behind them.

China cannot let Marcos dance to Takaichi's military drums while pursuing economic ties with China. Put a quota on the Philippines' major cash crops exported to China, and expel them from China's aid program. Japan and the Philippines have formalized a rapidly expanding defence & security alliance, heavily backed by the US. The more money the ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ have, the more weapons they will buy from ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต and the ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ to undermine China's sovereign rights in the South China Sea. # PhilippinesJapan #RAAโ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏ #Militarization

All โš”๏ธaimed at China: Absolutely no rare earths or critical minerals for Japan Japan is making its biggest defence policy change since WW2. After easing export restrictions on lethal weapons, Tokyo now allows defence equipment transfers to about 17 nations. ๐Ÿ“Guess who they are? Rather than entering the general commercial arms market, Japan's strategy focuses on strengthening regional deterrence, supporting U.S.-allied supply chains, and reinforcing maritime security.
Two Japanese firms just shut down their production line, cutting 25% of the worldโ€™s tungsten hexafluoride (WFโ‚†) capacity. This is what Chinese critical minerals dominance looks like in action โ€” slowly choking alliesโ€™ high-tech economies Kanto Denka Kogyo (sometimes referenced with Showa Denko ties) and Central Glass have notified big chipmakers like Samsung, SK Hynix, and TSMC: inventories run out in June, lines shut for good from July 1. Boom โ€” 2,200 tons of annual global WFโ‚† capacity gone. This specialized gas is essential for depositing ultra-thin tungsten layers in advanced semiconductors (3D NAND, DRAM, logic chips). Without it, fabs slow or stop Why? China controls ~80% of global tungsten supply and refining. Beijing tightened export controls and licensing on strategic minerals (tungsten included) โ€” hitting Japan hard. Shipments to Japan have plunged, raw material costs spiked, and these specialty gas producers canโ€™t keep operating profitably or at all. Japanese firms were high-quality, reliable suppliers that Korea and others depended on for ~80% of their WFโ‚† in some cases This isnโ€™t random. Japanese PM Takaichi hostile posturing against China and plan to remilitarize Japan brought about Chinese sanction of dual use critical minerals (tungsten, rare earths, etc.) to Japanese companies. Higher costs, supply chaos, lost competitiveness, and eventual factory pain ripple through the semiconductor chain. Auto, electronics, defenseโ€ฆ all feel it downstream. Japanโ€™s been diversifying and stockpiling, but decades of over-reliance on Chinese inputs make this a slow bleed. Allies need to accelerate onshoring, friend-shoring, and alternative processing FAST. Relying on an adversary for the guts of your chip industry isnโ€™t strategy โ€” itโ€™s vulnerability The โ€œjust-in-timeโ€ global supply chain was efficient until it wasnโ€™t. Now itโ€™s a national security risk. Wake-up call for anyone still sleeping on critical minerals news.chemnet.com/news-6286.hโ€ฆ
