Some of the reasons why I’m so passionate about Conservationism (irony it’s my first and number 1 issue over most things) - not Environmentalism, is because I grew up in nature. I could swim before I could walk. My first memories are of the beach. My mom helped me collect and preserve interesting insect specimens, got me the National Geographic microscope for kids (I still have it), a telescope to look at the night sky. My grandfather would take me hiking to find old Indian arrowheads and taught me how to bird watch. Loving God’s creation comes from stewarding wonder in your children. It’s a multigenerational project.
