The most advanced technologies in the world are trees, mycelium networks, river systems, and entire ecosystems. I’m personally tired of idolizing human made technology that destroys the very systems that actually sustain life and hold real wisdom.

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it. Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying. Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence." Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter." Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter. They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies. That's the metered intelligence business model. And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.
SAM ALTMAN: “WE SEE A FUTURE WHERE INTELLIGENCE IS A UTILITY, LIKE ELECTRICITY OR WATER, AND PEOPLE BUY IT FROM US ON A METER.”

Lawyers for Liz Truss have asked me to stop saying Liz Truss crashed the economy. I only said Liz Truss crashed the economy because Liz Truss did crash the economy. If she wanted me to not say Liz Truss crashed the economy, she shouldn’t have crashed the economy. Please don’t RT

Did you know?
Only 21.6% of students with dyslexia passed both English & maths GCSEs at a grade 5.
Compared to 51.9% of their peers. 😔  The system is failing dyslexic learners.  We’re calling for urgent reform.  📘 New report out today. bit.ly/3SCAxgP #SEND #Dyslexia #inclusiveeducation #fixthesystemnotthekids

“This is your finest hour.” As we mark 80 years since VE Day, we remember the remarkable people of Bletchley Park whose secret work helped secure victory. This message from MI6 chief Stewart Menzies, saved by WAAF Jean Hunter and decorated with stamps from her office, is a powerful reminder of their pride, purpose, and legacy. The letter reads: "On this ever memorable day, I desire that all who are doing duty in this organisation should be made aware of my unbounded admiration in the way in which they have carried out their allotted tasks. Such have been the difficulties, such has been the endeavour, and such have been the constant triumphs that one senses that words of gratitude from one individual are perhaps out of place. The personal knowledge of the contributions made towards winning the War is surely the real measure of the thanks which so rightly belong to one and all in a great an inspired organisation which I have the privilege to direct. This is your finest hour." #VEDay80 #BletchleyPark #WWII #Codebreakers
