Deaf & Disabled People in TV are looking for a Part-Time Assistant! 🎥🤩
Want to be part of one of the noisiest and fiercest disabled media campaign groups around and be part of the industry culture shift?
ALT The home page of the sexy DDPTV website. The font says, “DDPTV is a disabled-led organisation dedicated to elevating off-screen Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent talent within the TV industry.”
It has a pale teal background and two colourful illustrations. One is a black, male wheelchair user holding a light in a stand. The other is a Muslim woman on crutches, standing by a camera. They are both wearing teal and yellow clothing to match the DDPTV logo.

Lets be honest no one, not even the legacy "should keep track of what this tech bro is saying on my policy areas of interest" follows I may have, actually subscribed. He just forced the team to force it into everyone's feed.
What a contrast.
Paris spends €1bn to clean up the Seine so people can go swimming in it while last year alone @thameswater spent 7,000 hours dumping sewage into 31 of London's rivers all of which ends up in the Thames.
Ho hum.
NEW: we need to talk about NHS staff retention.
At a time when Britain’s healthcare system is acutely short of workers, *1 in 7* UK-trained doctors are practising overseas. No other developed country is like this, which immediately tells you there’s a problem.

I've talked about this before, but as this ad is activating trauma, I want to explain what disabled people live with.
More than 15 years ago (yes, before the Tories), all my benefits suddenly stopped. When I called to ask why I was put through to the fraud office.

WI continues to support Trans Rights.
They have done so since the 70s and they're getting swept up in a "'toxic and divisive' row that sought to sow discord among women" thank you very much

ALT WI cover image, with a middle aged white blonde trans woman as cover star. Lead quote is "The WI welcomed me to Sisterhood" with subtitles "Meet Petra" "trans activist" and "proud member of cake and revolution"
Honestly wild how willing Terry Schilling is to tell reporters that the campaign against trans rights is a cynical, calculated, poll tested attempt to keep the culture war going after the Supreme Court effectively took gay marriage off the table
Defeated on same-sex marriage, the religious right went searching for an issue that would re-energize supporters and donors.
Now, the pace of the campaign against transgender rights has stunned political leaders across the spectrum. nyti.ms/41xv5hO
The BBC v Irish News.
A campaigner who quite clearly states that she is no feminist and only ever campaigns against the rights of trans people.
BBC “women’s rights”
Irish News “anti-trans”
If Australia can call it out, if New Zealand can, if NI can - we can too.

Back of my Polling Card for local elections. For 1st time, photo ID is required. Card gives many options for elderly or those with disability. None, NONE, for younger or student voters. The policy is simply biased against younger voters, designed to suppress their vote.
1/5 disabled people are unable to go to the toilet when they need to. 1/10 do not have a toilet at home they can use. 1/4 do not have a bath or shower at home they can use. See the full report here : lewisham.gov.uk/mayorandcoun…
