As someone with a very close-knot family and an aging parent, I was so grateful to be able to land back in my home state. The fear of whatever may happen after this PhD is often overwhelming. Thank you Shanta for bringing light to this problem.
As a Ph.D. student, @murryloub studied how barn swallows grow when exposed to light pollution.
But at her rural field site, she often felt unwelcome and unsafe. Since then, she has been working to get more people to enjoy the outdoors safely.
