Free Palestine! 🇵🇸🫱🏾‍🫲🏿🇧🇷

"I am for a new Albania where the moment you get sick, you don't have to open a GoFundMe or go into debt." Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Tirana for the twelfth straight day on Thursday, rallying outside the Albanian Prime Minister's office in opposition to Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s $5 billion luxury resort development project. What began as an environmental protection campaign in response to the Trumps’ plan to build near Albania’s Vjosa-Narta protected area and on Sazan Island in the Mediterranean, has grown into a broader movement against corruption in Prime Minister Edi Rama’s government and for housing affordability and public services.

A historic moment: the main tower of the Sagrada Família has finally been completed The day before, it was consecrated by Pope Leo XIV, marking the 100th anniversary of the death of the great architect Antoni Gaudí. The 172.5-meter Tower of Jesus Christ has become the tallest part of the church, and the Sagrada Família is now considered the tallest Christian structure in the world. Construction of the basilica began in 1882. Gaudí died in 1926 without ever seeing his main masterpiece completed. However, this is still not the final stage: interior work and the main entrance still remain. So the world’s most famous long-term construction project is officially not finished yet.

🚨BREAKING: Didier Drogba says if the USA didn't want other Countries citizens in the US they shouldn't have bid for the Fifa world cup 2026 and says denial of Iran supporters and Somali referee Omar Artan is totally unacceptable, Football should be separated from politics "When a country bids to host the biggest football tournament on the planet, it knows exactly what comes with it. Players, referees, officials and supporters from every corner of the world are part of the package." "I look at the situation involving Somali referee Omar Artan and I feel disappointed for him. FIFA selected him because he earned that opportunity on merit, yet he was unable to participate after being denied entry." "Then you hear about Iran's football federation claiming that its supporter ticket allocation was withdrawn just days before the tournament. If true, that leaves ordinary fans paying the price for issues that have nothing to do with football." "The people suffering are not politicians. They're supporters who save money for years hoping to follow their national team at a World Cup." "Football has always been one of the few things capable of bringing different cultures together. The moment politics starts deciding who gets to be part of that experience, everyone loses." "I played in World Cups and international tournaments. The beauty of those events is seeing supporters from dozens of countries sharing the same streets, the same stadiums and the same passion." "No fan should be judged because of their nationality, and no referee should miss the biggest moment of his career because of political circumstances beyond his control." "FIFA, governments and football authorities need to find solutions because the headlines right now are about visas, travel restrictions and disputes instead of the football itself." "The World Cup should belong to the world. That's what makes it special. The game must always come first, and politics should never be allowed to overshadow football's greatest celebration."

📹limaorganicaperu Instagram

🚨𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍: Roman Molina provides a fresh update on Somali referee Omar Arteh; 🗣️ “Omar obtained a diplomatic passport and traveled directly, only to be stopped, questioned, and so on. They took his phone and tablet from him and haven't returned them to him yet, and he was deported from U.S. soil on a flight headed to Turkey.” “FIFA issued a statement afterward saying ‘we cannot intervene in countries' immigration procedures,’ but in reality, FIFA did intervene in immigration procedures during the last World Cup in Qatar. But it seems like everything is measured with two different standards.” “FIFA knows that the U.S. administration does whatever it wants, so we could have imagined they'd say to themselves: ‘Alright, let's play it safe and assign him to officiate matches in Mexico or Canada.’ But no, because FIFA is ruled by sheer incompetence.” 👀🥲

Europe Wins Again. Obviously. Armenia went to the polls yesterday. And the results are exactly what you’d expect if you’d been paying attention for the past five years, rather than wallowing in Kremlin nostalgia like a damp sock. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared victory on Monday, with his Civil Contract Party leading with 52.5% of the vote. Armenia, a landlocked country the size of Belgium that Russia has spent decades treating as a vassal state, has looked at its options and made a decision that required roughly the same level of intellectual effort as choosing between a Michelin-starred restaurant and a skip fire. They chose Europe. This election was less a routine vote than a referendum on Pashinyan’s post-2020 course reducing dependence on Russia and moving toward an explicit European orientation. And Russia, naturally, did everything in its power to stop it. According to Reuters, citing Western intelligence officials, the election faced heavy Russian covert interference, including disinformation campaigns and a plan to transport Russian Armenians into Armenia to sway the vote. One analyst collective described it as one of the largest state-backed disinformation campaigns in modern European history. And Armenia still told them to get lost. Putin had already warned Armenia it would face economic consequences for drifting westward, and introduced restrictions on Armenian agricultural exports in the weeks before the vote. Threats, propaganda, economic blackmail. The full Russian toolkit. Result: irrelevant. Now, Trump, Tucker Carlson and JD Vance would like you to believe that Russia represents some superior civilisational model. A proud, white, Christian fortress holding the line against the Muslim hordes supposedly swamping Europe. It is a compelling narrative, in the same way that flat earth theory is compelling if you ignore every single fact available to you. Here is one such fact: between 10 and 15 percent of Russia’s own population is Muslim. Tatars, Bashkirs, Chechens, Ingush, Dagestanis. Millions of them. Russia is, by its own demographic reality, a multi-ethnic, multi-faith state with a larger Muslim population than most of Western Europe. But you’re not supposed to know that. It complicates the story. Meanwhile, the Muslim share of the EU population sits at around 5 percent. But the Tucker Carlsons of the world need you frightened, so the numbers get quietly shuffled off stage. So Armenia joins the queue. Behind Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, and every Eastern European country that isn’t currently run by a Slovak who seems to have wandered in from a Moscow focus group. The pattern is not subtle. Every country that has actually experienced Russian influence in practice is sprinting in the opposite direction. The only nation currently moving toward Russia’s orbit is the United States, which managed to elect a man whose foreign policy instincts were apparently shaped by a property developer’s admiration for strongmen with good buildings. The world watches America and hopes it finds its way back. Most people think it will. Eventually. The damage, however, is already considerable, and democracy, like a soufflé, does not always survive rough handling. Armenia made its choice. The right one. Obviously.
