Excited (and saddened?) to share a new study with @lyrebirdlab linking cultural diversity in the Albert's #lyrebird to #habitatfragmentation. Individuals with less habitat availability mimic fewer species, despite most species occurring in all study sites. doi.org/10.1111/ddi.13646

Congratulations Dr Austin! A brilliant achievement!
I became Doctor Austin today... 6 years... A thesis, first author pubs, early mornings, late nights, a Fulbright Scholarship, documentaries, podcasts, AND, a knee reconstruction, a house, a dog, a baby. Life doesn't stop for a PhD. What a ride! Thank you @lyrebirdlab! #PhDone
