The more we learn about Lp(a) the more we have to worry about the 1 out of 5 people who have elevations. Will significantly lowering Lp(a) solve the aortic valve deterioration? For those of you with elevated Lp(a) make sure your clinicians are closely watching the heart valves. Yes! But important to note that distribution of Lp(a) levels varies in different groups. A higher proportion of Black and South Asian groups have elevated Lp(a) compared to Caucasians. #measureLpa
