My 2nd project is out in @NatureSMB ! Following up the SUMO-RNF4 paper, from studying the replication-independent DPC repair, we identified TOPORS as a novel SUMO-targeted ubiquitin ligase, with SUMO1-binding preference. Thanks all in @MailandLabnature.com/articles/s41594-0…
Postdoc position available in our lab! Are you interested in self-reactive T cells & how costimulatory pathways shape their fate? Project uses in vivo models, spectral cytometry & sequencing approaches. Deadline 6th March.

This year's "Book a Scientist"/"Bestil en forsker" presentations are now open for booking! A great opportunity for anyone in Denmark to hear some exciting science. And if you/anyone you know might be interested in viruses and vaccines, read on (booking links below) (1/4)
You can also book my talk from last year, which focuses on the group of viruses I primarily research. Most viruses come and go (flu, COVID etc), but some settle down and make YOU their home for life. How do they do this, what do they do to you and why do they matter? (3/4)
📣Join us at the "#ProteinSignaling - in space and time" #conference! Explore protein-driven mechanisms in cell function, development, and disease. Free registration and accommodations covered by the @novonordiskfond. Apply by Sept 1st! 🌍🧬bit.ly/3PMhvV1
An equal-parts fascinating and horrifying article about the response to research into historical connections between the slave trade and my alma mater, Caius College Cambridge. The vitriol suffered by these researchers is absurd. Long but worth your time.

It's only through this article that I have realised the powers that Life fellows hold at the college, which does seem to be holding Caius and the development of the student experience back.
Biggest thing to ever come out of my little group. Pls help spread this finding!
We found clean, CAUSAL evidence that the shingles vaccine prevents a good chunk of dementia cases. So, could a virus cause Alzheimer’s->YES!

Me and my wacky waving non-inflatable arms had a great time presenting at #pint23 on Wednesday! Thanks for coming, maybe see you again next year? @pintofscienceDK
My Pint of Science talk is tonight! Learn about the unique viruses that never learned to move on, and the consequences they can have

Latest work from my time at UCL now out in shiny finalised format as a Methods & Resources paper at JBC: jbc.org/article/S0021-9258(2…. Big thanks to Matt, Ellie & Claire for getting this over the line once I had left.
We also had several BSc/MSc students work on this remotely during the pandemic, which was a very challenging way to carry out your research project, so particularly glad to be able to recognise their efforts with a formalised publication of their work
