Country music star Thomas Mac absolutely nailed it at the National Peace Officers Memorial Service on May 15, 2026. He stood in front of the wall of names and delivered one of the most truthful lines we’ve ever heard: “Running toward the fire, looking down the barrel of a gun.” That’s exactly what law enforcement does every single day — running toward danger while others run away. Thomas gets it. He sees us. This hit hard. Share this with every cop, first responder, and patriot you know. @thomasmacmusic @GLFOP Watch the full moment here: youtube.com/shorts/bya5RWOK6… Never Forget. 🇺🇸 💙 #PoliceWeek2026 #NationalPoliceWeek #FOPStrong #HonorTheFallen #BackTheBlue #ThinBlueLine #LawEnforcement #ThomasMac #PoliceWeek #FOP #NeverForget #BlueFamily #FirstResponders #SupportLawEnforcement #MinnesotaFOP Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police

Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police Statement on the Not Guilty Verdict in the James Burke Case Today we celebrate the not guilty verdict for former Warren Police Officer James Burke. This case is a powerful example of why the FOP Legal Defense Plan is the gold standard in the nation. While other plans run out of money or give up, the FOP Legal Defense Plan has deep pockets, unlimited appeals, and the determination to fight for innocent officers all the way to the end. Officer Burke had the best legal defense in the country because he had the FOP behind him. This is exactly why every law enforcement officer in Minnesota needs to be on the FOP Legal Defense Plan. When your freedom and career are on the line, you want the strongest protection available — and that’s the FOP. HANDS OFF OUR HORSES! 🐎 The Minneapolis Mounted Patrol is the last one left in the entire state of Minnesota — and the City Council just tried to kill it again. Just a few months ago, during the 2026 budget process, the Council stripped funding for the Mounted Patrol. Once again, they tried to put these proud horses out to pasture and weaken community policing in our city. The Mounted Patrol does incredible work in the community. Officers on horseback are far more approachable — people feel comfortable coming up to talk with them. Kids especially love the horses, which helps build positive relationships and trust between the police and our neighborhoods. They provide a highly visible, calming presence at parades, parks, crowd events, and in areas where patrol cars can’t easily go. They are part of our city, our police, our community, our horses. Tell the Minneapolis City Council and Mayor: Hands Off Our Horses! Take Action Today: - Call or email your City Council Member - Call or email Mayor Jacob Frey - Demand they restore full funding for the Minneapolis Mounted Patrol Our City. Our Police. Our Community. Our Horses. #HandsOffOurHorses #SaveTheMountedPatrol #ProtectMinneapolisMounted #MNFOP #FOPStrong 🇺🇸

Sample Email Subject: Please Restore Funding for the Minneapolis Mounted Patrol – Hands Off Our Horses! Dear Council Member [Last Name] or Mayor Frey, I am writing to urge you to restore full funding for the Minneapolis Mounted Patrol. This unit is the last Mounted Patrol in the entire state of Minnesota. Just a few months ago, during the 2026 budget process, the City Council stripped its funding. I strongly oppose this decision. The Mounted Patrol provides a unique and valuable service to our city. Officers on horseback are far more approachable, making it easier for community members — especially children — to interact positively with police. Kids love the horses, which helps build trust and strong relationships between the police department and our neighborhoods. They also offer a highly visible, calming presence at parades, parks, large events, and in areas where patrol cars cannot easily go. The Mounted Patrol is an important part of our city, our police, our community, and our horses. I respectfully ask that you support restoring full funding for this valuable program so it can continue serving Minneapolis. Thank you for your time and service to our city. Sincerely, [Your Full Name] [Your Address] [Your Phone Number] [Your Email Address]

**Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police** 🇺🇸 Today, on this solemn Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great Nation. Memorial Day traces its roots to the years following the Civil War, when Americans began decorating the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers and flags. It was officially proclaimed a national holiday in 1868 to remember those who gave their lives so that we might live in freedom. We stand in deep gratitude for every police officer, firefighter, soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, and Coast Guardsman who answered the call and never came home. Their courage, duty, and love of country built the foundation of liberty we cherish today. Because of their sacrifice, the American flag still flies high over a free nation. To the families who carry the heavy burden of their absence — know that Minnesota’s law enforcement community stands with you. We will never forget. We will always honor. May God bless our fallen heroes, their families, and the United States of America. #MemorialDay #HonorTheFallen #FOPStrong 🇺🇸 #ThinBlueLine #BackTheBlue #RememberAndHonor
