Proof that these people are not the smartest in our society. Everyone knows you can get couches, TVs and all sorts of furnishings for almost no money if you join buy nothing groups, go thrifting or to estate sales. These are just losers, man.

Prevention measures like an $11 bath mat could save Americans tens of thousands of dollars.   If Medicare would send these out to every recipient in America, I’ll bet the investment would pay for itself in under a year.

19 of 20 horses descended from Secretariat yet YOU think putting YOUR kids in year-round travel sports will be the reason you don’t have to pay for their college?
19 out of 20 horses in this year’s Kentucky Derby are descendants of Secretariat, the Greatest race horse that ever lived. Post mortem of Secretariat after he passed revealed he had the largest heart of any horse— in history.

The most terrifying thing about Noah's ark is the fact that adults still believe it actually happened.
The most terrifying thing about Noah’s Ark isn’t the flood. It’s the boat. God gave exact length. Exact width. Exact wood. Exact pitch. No steering wheel. No sail. No engine. Noah was not the captain. He was cargo…

Good reminder that if Dems had won the house, they would be in the minority because so many of members keep dying of old age. But if you point this out it’s because you hate old people
Five members of the House of Representatives have died in office over the last 14 months —Sylvester Turner, D-Texas (70) —Raúl Grijalva, D-Ariz. (77) —Gerry Connolly, D-Va. (75) —Doug LaMalfa, R-Calif. (65) —David Scott, D-Ga. (80)

Four Democratic House members have died in office since Jan 2025. David Scott, 80. Gerry Connolly, 75. Raúl Grijalva, 77. Sylvester Turner, 70. We have to stop electing people this old. This is not okay. What are we doing.

I love having to re-fight battles we won 568 times already. Very cool. Very normal.

It is literally illegal for Millennials to raise children the way Boomers and Xers raised children. Millennials are not the ones who made it illegal as they were children at the time.
Replying to @upstatefederlst
GenX and Boomer kids played outside. It's the Millennials that are raising inside children. I'm GenX and kids were all outside. This is by far more millennial than GenX or Boomer.

More sad news out of Ottumwa, where a healthcare facility closed and now a downtown landmark. Meanwhile, the legislature has proposed a bill that would require Iowa airports to serve alcohol for at least an hour before any flight takes off. Replying to @Pontifex
The sea and the desert have been places of mutual enrichment among peoples and cultures for millennia. Woe to us if we turn them into graveyards where even hope dies! Let us free these tremendous reservoirs of history and the future from evil! Let us denounce and remove causes for despair, and let us oppose those who profit from the misfortune of others!

The bike is wildly underrated for health & performance. It solves a structural bottleneck: tissue tolerance. Suddenly you're no longer limited by how much you can run before breaking down, but you’re limited by how much time you have. Find your easy zone. Spend hours there.

Ohio’s governor recently said if the current push for abolishing property taxes succeeds, it would require a 20% sales tax to handle the fiscal load. In other words, sacrificing Ohio’s economy upon the altar of a massive wealth transfer against young taxpayers.
The most loyal demographic in the entire country for the GOP in 2024 were 20 year old White men. And yet it's like these people don't even exist when you look at how Republican politicians do their messaging. Instead, we see endless appeals for Fully Automated Total Luxury Boomer Communism even more than we already have. >Zero serious proposals in Congress for entitlement reform that Boomers collect, and which are rapidly bankrupting this country >At the state level, multiple Red states are planning to eliminate property taxes to subsidize homes for Boomers that Millenials and Zoomers can't even afford to buy >And now whatever this is

A really interesting race to watch here. Democrats are now projected to win the governorship of Iowa. This would be the first Democratic governor in Iowa since 2010. In the last 16 years under Republican leadership, Iowa has: - Dropped in education from top 5 to 20. - Dropped in healthcare from 6 to 18. - lowered life expectancy by a year. - doubled the murder rate from 1.5 to 3. - Infant mortality rate increase. - Obesity increased. - Adult literacy dropped.
