Fine Gael must think people are stupid as they scrape the bottom of the barrel with their smears against Catherine Connolly. It’s Fine Gael who refused to build public housing as they rolled out the red carpet for vulture funds. It’s Fine Gael who pushed home ownership out of the reach of an entire generation. Ordinary people screwed while vulture funds made obscene profits, Young people, their parents and grand parents will remember that next Friday. Vote Catherine Connolly 1

Sinn Féin is backing Catherine Connolly to be the next Uachtaráin na hÉireann! Our job is to get Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael out of government and to keep them out of the Áras. Anois an am. Anois uair na cinniúna. We can elect a President who will champion a United Ireland, stand up for Ireland’s place in the world as a defender of neutrality and human rights, and speak out for fairness and economic justice. It’s now game on to elect Catherine Connolly as Ireland’s next President. We will give it our all!

It's not "soft on crime" to defund criminal organisations by legalising cannabis, quite the opposite. @lukeming has so far been the only Irish politician to call the political cowardice in this regard. @TheGreenParty @SocDems @labour @pb4p Raise your voices! #legaliseit

President von der Leyen’s State of the Union Address is a missed opportunity to tackle multiple EU challenges head on. By refusing to use the word genocide in her speech, Ursula von der Leyen diminished the full scale of what Israel is doing in Gaza. sinnfein.ie/news/president-v…

Israeli war bonds will no longer be sold in Ireland. This has been stopped by the hard work of campaigners. I commend you all. It shows what people can acheive even without the support of their government. The genocide in Gaza won't stop until Israel face real sanctions for their crimes. We won't stop until that happens.

Delighted to be in Westminster to meet with representatives of the international diplomatic community & discuss the growing momentum for Irish Reunification. It’s time to turn the page and open a new chapter in the British-Irish relationship - and to prepare for a referendum on Irish Unity in this decade.

🚨 Watch this! Mary Lou gets right to the heart of the FF/FG grubby deal with Michael Lowry. The deal the Ceann Comhairle moved heaven and earth to protect last week. The deal that secured her own position. This is all about the cosy club looking after their own. The Ceann Comhairle’s position is utterly compromised. #sinnféin

There’s no hiding place for the Taoiseach today. You can’t be in government and in opposition at the same time. What exactly does Michael Lowry have over Micheál Martin? We’ll fight this all the way!

🚨Breaking News: Leaders of the Combined Opposition have written to the Taoiseach seeking an urgent meeting in advance of Tuesday’s Dáil sitting. The government’s self-serving attempts to make unprecedented changes to how the Dáil works are unacceptable. The Opposition has put an alternative on the table which facilitates speaking time for government TDs including Michael Lowry’s group and preserves democratic integrity of the Dáil. You cannot be in government and opposition at the same time. Accepting this democratic norm is essential for our system to work.

The Government’s grubby deal that they intend forcing through next week is all about facilitating Michael Lowry and his gang. Giving him opportunities only reserved for the opposition. But it doesn’t stop there. As part of this deal, Taoiseach’s Questions will now only happen one day a week. Further reducing government accountability. We will fight this tooth and nail.

FF and FG actions tonight are dangerous and unprecedented. Proposals subvert the working of the Dáil and make a mockery of our democratic institutions.      Not only are they pushing through their proposal for Michael Lowry’s group to be part of Leaders Questions, incredibly they will also allow Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael TDs to do the same! Utterly farcical and will not be tolerated.  Leaders' Questions are solely and explicitly the preserve of the Opposition to hold the government to account.   This government doesn’t want to be held to account and will do anything to try and stymie the work of the Opposition.  They will not succeed.  Every option is now on the table.
