Fianna Fáil & Fine Gael have agreed legislation to get rid of the triple lock neutrality protection. This means that any government that has a majority in the future can deploy our defence forces to any location or deployment in the future. Neutrality is a strength for Ireland. The Government is foolishly putting this at risk. Ireland should be strong on neutrality and strong on defence, this Government is strong on neither.

Micheál Martin was part of the cabinet that dealt with the 1999 Ireland/Yugoslavia match by refusing to give visas to the Yugoslav players. The EUFA/FIFA penalties against Ireland were minimal. Now, spoofer Martin says it's up to the FAI, not government, to decide about israel.

Workers deserve to keep 100% of the tips they earn. Yet the DUP is blocking the Good Jobs Bill which would guarantee that. It’s time for Emma Little Pengelly to stop blocking this bill and denying support to workers.

Carla Lockhart is having a nightmare entirely of her own making. Doubling down might appeal to the extreme DUP/TUV base, but it only further convinces the rest of society that the DUP & its mindset is holding us all back.
Replying to @carlalockhart
My eyes aren't painted on, Carla... Neither is anyone else's. Where is your condemnation of the masked men? You're clearly free to attack Alliance, but still nothing on that? Says it all.

Two years today since I lost my comrade, friend Óglach, Dr Ella O'Dwyer Not a day passes that I don't think of her, wonder what she'd make of events, or draw strength from her example Ella endured prison & dedicated her life to Irish republicanism Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís

Emma Little Pengelly and the DUP are blocking the Good Jobs Bill which will introduce carers’ leave. This would ensure workers can take time off to care for their loved ones. This bill will be transformative for workers and their families. The DUP blocking must stop.

Large crowd gathered this evening at an emotional and dignified 50th Anniversary Commemoration as the people of the New Lodge Road remember Sinn Féin member Colm Mulgrew who was assassinated by a Pro-British Loyalist death squad 50 years ago today. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. 💚

Ireland has the highest electricity prices in the EU. 319,000 homes in arrears. A fifth of the grid feeding data centres that run 24/7. And a government that insists, straight-faced, that none of this is related. Denial isn’t a policy.

The revival of the Irish language across Ireland is something we should all be proud of. That is why it is so disappointing to hear the Minister for Education say there will be no new Gaelscoileanna or Gaelcholaistí until at least 2032. At a time when demand for Irish-medium education is growing, this is a missed opportunity. Tá sé de cheart ag gach páiste a oideachas a fháil trí mheán na Gaeilge. Every child should have the right to be educated through our first national language. The demand is there, we need more Gaelscoileanna and Gaelcholaistí now. Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam 🇮🇪
