Architecture is the time stamp of the fabric of a civilisation. It is a dichotomy between art and values.

Humane is the perfect cautionary tale of how talented people get completely distorted from reality by staying at large, successful companies for too long. Are you really a great product designer? Or do you just work at Apple? Are you actually great at sales? Or do you just work at Google? Are you really an incredible growth marketer? Or do you just work at Instagram? After a certain size, the brands sell themselves. The only way to test your abilities is to leave the shelter of these mega brands and go out and build something yourself from scratch. (And usually throwing lots of money at the problem pre-launch isn't going to help you.)

I have to give it to @ElonMusk. Every time I open X, it becomes clearer that the people who live on this app are operating in a completely different reality from the rest of us. He didn’t build a town square. He built a safe space for the worst people in society to thrive. Kudos, Elon. 📱🧵 #ElonMusk #X #SocialMedia #Tech #OnlineExtremism

Office life before the invention of AutoCAD and other drafting software. Prior to the release of AutoCAD in 1982, engineering drawings were all done by hand using different grade pencils, erasers, T-squares and set squares.

I firmly believe that we can literally feel the amount of handmade human care put into something. That’s why the old animated films often feel like they have more “soul.” That is the expression of human care you’re sensing. I hope we don’t lose this. x.com/fluxfolio_/status/2030…

China absolutely decimating every corner of the world’s oceans is without question the biggest environmental catastrophe happening right now, as in an actual ecological disaster, yet the “save the planet” grifters never talk about it, while forcing us to use paper straws.
China's massive fishing fleets are a serious threat to safety and food security. The ships are depleting the global fish supply by over fishing and using destructive methods. The ships also engage in criminal and coercive behavior forcing fishermen out of their own waters. The result, food becomes more scarce and people become dependent on the Chinese fleet for food.

Soon the whales will have nothing to eat and food chains will collapse due to Chinese fleets inability to have any self control
Chinese vessel Fu Yuan Yu 9199, largest krill trawler in Antarctica right now is pumping up krill 24/7 from one of Earth’s most fragile regions. They even use drones All this to make fish feed for aquaculture & then spin it into a 'China is a sustainability champion' propaganda

I have been saying this for a long time: our future will be more aesthetic (again). Because robots will drive costs for beautiful design down we will see beautiful gardens, houses, sculptures, wood works, etc everywhere.
