This sounds like an overambitious promise that will never come to life and result in a half-assed mechanic, meaning the remake is staying extremely faithful to the original in this aspect
Fable NPC system is so sophisticated the devs are calling it a "life simulator" You build reputation through your actions in the game, then each NPC has a different opinion of you based on your reputation. You might have to become a rich business owner to impress and date one of the NPCs in the game, but another NPC will hate you for being so rich. As a consequence, that NPC could increase the prices on their merchandise when you visit their store. Even small actions such as giving money to the homeless or evicting people out of their houses will impact your reputation, and this can be done at a very large scale, because you could: - Buy every home in the world of Fable - Evict everyone out of their homes - Have every NPC now live on the street Possibilities are quite literally endless here

This hasn’t gone viral the way it should. Jamie Corry, an Irish lad from east Belfast, has lost his home of 13 years after masked rioters set fire to cars outside and it engulfed his house in last night’s violent chaos. He stood right there and begged one of them: “This is my house. This is my house.” They didn’t care. They burned it anyway. “They’ve done it to one of their own.” These racist, uneducated thugs and street urchins destroy everything in their path. They don’t care who gets hurt: locals, families, their own community. Just mindless arsonists ruining innocent lives with no excuse.

Our statement on the UK government’s demand that all content on all devices sold or used in the country be scanned, on the presumption of nudity, using a dystopian combination of age verification and content scanning. This proposal will not safeguard children. It endangers us all. signal.org/blog/pdfs/2026-06…

The Thresh drop for 2XKO is a good example of what can be done if things aren't leaked. If you give teams the space, they'll cook and make it a moment. If some doofus just posts it on their YouTube channel for clout, it takes all the air out of the room.

Palantir has been granted “unlimited access” to NHS patient data. This is the same company that is involved in mass surveillance and genocide. We did not consent to this. Get Palantir out of our NHS, now.

There’s a very weird subset of people (casual players that don’t want to improve but also can’t handle losing) who wish that all competitive games were just rock paper scissors.

People's obsession with seeing games fail will literally kill off the hobby. Stop this weirdo shit, ignore games you're not interested in, and play the ones you are, rather than sitting and drooling and praying that games don't do well for some bizarre sense of entertainment.

If the Greens do not win the next General Election, it's basically guaranteed that the UK will ban all GAC for all trans people of all ages across the nation. People need to understand that every by-election between now and then is vital too.
UK trans activists have been warning us that the NHS aims to eventually ban all gender-affirming healthcare. Now we can see how they’ll do it. We already know what they will conclude in this agenda-driven "review" and we need to be ready for it.

Worth noting that the Green Party has a good 'defection protocol' in place including checks on voting records, consultation with the wider party and an assessment of understanding and adherence to Green values. Nor is the decision to accept defection made by a single individual.
Several Labour MPs have been in regular contact with Zack Polanski, reportedly leading to questions from government whips about whether they could defect to the Green party. One Labour MP questioned about a possible defection was also “collared” by a cabinet minister who accused them of being in contact with Polanski, according to a report in the Times. The MP said they were not planning to defect but that Labour’s humiliating defeat in the Gorton and Denton byelection showed that Keir Starmer’s party had lost its “core vote”. “There’s certainly some people who think that actually the Green party do represent their views better than the current leadership of the Labour party,” the MP said. “What’s interesting about the byelection is we’ve vacated the centre-left ground and that’s been filled by Zack Polanski and the Greens. My feeling is that what we need to do is go back to that ground – that’s where our core vote is, and we need to win back our core vote.” The MPs regularly speak with Polanski about news and policy, as well as amendments to legislation passing through parliament, the Times said. A senior Labour source said the government was not concerned about potential defections to the Greens. Polanski has said before that he has spoken to Labour MPs who would prefer to be in his party but don’t feel it’s a good idea to defect. “When I talk to them, they say to me they know they’d be happier in the Green party, but for them it’s not an emotional decision right now, it’s a strategic decision. And the strategic decision is that they have more power to influence things from within the Labour party.” A Green party source said: “We are fully focused on winning as many seats as we can in the May elections. If more Labour MPs can now see the Greens as the party which most represent their values, and are best placed to beat Reform, then of course we can have discussions with them. But we have made it clear that we do not consider Starmer’s Labour a progressive party.”

There was not nearly enough push back on the idea of "you don't have to play the games to be fan" and the fact it's a statement that's argued AGAINST is wild. And then they also demand changes. Engaging in the material you're a fan of is the most basic qualifier to being a fan.
