Immigration raids divide communities, discourage people from seeking support, and undermine trust in public services. We must oppose the hostile environment.
Today I have announced an urgent review of Lambeth Council’s co-operation with immigration enforcement.

The Local Green Party is free to field a candidate. I’ve always stood by that principle. But the choice to run a full campaign is down to a national party that knows it can’t win. Everyone should be honest about that. inews.co.uk/news/green-party…
Our letter urging The Green Party not to run a full campaign in Makerfield (the letter does not urge the Green Party to step aside and not to stand a candidate). compassonline.org.uk/makerfi…
Lambeth's residents have chosen hope and a reset for our borough! We're so honoured to have won the confidence of so many voters across this borough. We will work every day to give them a voice, push back austerity, and make this borough the best place to live, work and have fun!
Hugely honoured to have been elected as a councillor for Clapham Town in Lambeth.
Thank you to everyone who put their trust in me, supported the campaign, and voted.
Ready to get to work!

Our London MRP, suggests Greens gaining significant ground across the Board and potentially able to usurp Labour in votes in Hackney, Lambeth, Lewisham, Enfield, Islington and Newham. Reform doing well in Havering and Bexley
As the Conservative candidates for Clapham Town know this is just complete nonsense. Every poll and projection puts Greens neck and neck with Labour across Lambeth and also in Clapham Town ward itself.
A great reception again on Clapham Town ward's doorsteps for @ForresterJJ, @PromJPhillips & me
Our @Conservatives colleagues came a close second to Labour in '22
Reminding residents re recent @Moreincommon_ L'dn headline voting intention poll showing Con 3% & Lab -27% on '22.
Co-leadership was introduced so people like me (co-leader 2016-2021) could fulfil caring responsibilities (I have a disabled son) while also engaging politically. Sure we didn’t get the media cut through at the time (due to a number of reasons not least Labour occupying the Green Party’s eco-socialist space) but we trebled our councillors during this period and beat the Tories in the European elections. We also set up the election infrastructure which is now translating the Green Party’s popularity into electoral success. Exclusive one-size fits all politics keeps a lot of people from getting involved. Co-leadership models the kind of inclusive society and values Greens want to see.
NEW: Despite facing the prospect of losing dozens of seats at the election on Thursday @LambethLabour Council Leader Claire Holland has already booked her trip to @MIPIMWorld 2027 The Corporate Real Estate Conference in Cannes, France where Politicians, Billionaire Housing Developers and Landlords meet to discuss how to make as much money as possible from property and housing.
This kind of extravagance in the midst of a Housing Emergency is why Lambeth has one of the worst Borough wide records on housing not just in London but the entire UK.
I hope MIPIM has a good refund policy.
