Official investigation started after our complaint against "miracle-healing" centre in Delhi. Made a Chhattisgarh school pay compensation to a child for beating her for "Radhe Radhe" greeting. Sensitised a large gathering of college students in Bhopal about on-campus ragging and gender crimes. Moved NHRC over murder of a 36-year-old father of two in Holambi. Complained against MP school for allowing buffalo slaughter inside premises.

After ground research, we submitted a complaint before NHRC member
@KanoongoPriyank against Zion Global Worship Centre operating from West Patel Nagar, Delhi, which was found distributing pamphlets in jhuggi settlements promising miraculous healing of illnesses and relief from personal hardships through faith and prayers to a figure of another religion. We submitted video recordings to the Commission in which individuals associated with the centre make claims of miraculous cures through prayers. NHRC took cognisance of our complaint and the matter is now under formal institutional scrutiny. To know more, visit

We moved NHRC in the murder case of Vikas Kumar, a barber from Holambi Khurd in Outer North Delhi, who was killed by three minors over a spat. Our team visited the locality and met members of the deceased's family, finding deep concern among residents regarding the killing, failure of police to nab the culprits and its impact on the victim's dependents. We sought a detailed status report on the progress of the investigation and steps taken to apprehend the accused persons, protection for the family from intimidation during the investigation and interim compensation under applicable victim compensation schemes. We sought an independent inquiry into the incident and requested that those found responsible for violations of child rights be held accountable. To know more, visit

Following our complaint to NHRC and sustained institutional engagement, the family of a 3.5-year-old nursery student from Durg district received compensation from her school, where the principal had beaten and taped the mouth of the child for greeting her with "Radhe Radhe". NHRC Member
@KanoongoPriyank had directed the Chhattisgarh government to provide compensation to the child for the violation of her rights. We also facilitated the child's admission to another school and took responsibility for her educational expenses so her studies were not disrupted. To know more, visit

The conference brought together educational administrators, faculty, legal experts and students. Speakers included SNU founder
