I spent a few hours learning Malloy with a large set of data that I frequently query with SQL. I can honestly say I now ask and answer 10x as many questions that would have been too annoying to do via SQL. Of all of the SQL enhancements/replacements, I feel like this one could really take off. Kudos to the @MalloyDev team on this. Also, the VS Code integration is fantastic and the getting started documentation made it easy to pick up.

There is a lot of talk about making "Semantic Data Models", but very little talk about how to query these models. If you work with data, I think you will enjoy this primer about how to ask interesting questions in Malloy from a prebuilt semantic data model malloydata.github.io/blog/20…
