So sorry to hear of Brad's passing, fantastic colleague and all-around great guy. Our scientific community at Rowan and beyond will not be the same. Sending heartfelt condolences to his family.
What a joy to host amazing scientist and grad school friend @DrZoePhD yesterday! I forgot to take seminar pics so this was our impromptu snapshot after dinner. Wonderful to hear about the latest from her lab and to catch up, thanks for visiting @BehavioralRowan@RowanVirtuaSOM!
Congratulations to the 2024 SfN award and prize recipients!

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Klaus' passing. His impacts on the fields of behavioral pharmacology, psychopharmacology, and neuroscience are well known. But I personally owe a great deal to him, and would not be where I am today without his mentorship. More below.
Klaus Miczek was a giant of Psychopharmacology: the field and the journal. R.I.P.
Here's an interview from 2022. He covers his transformative impact on the journal, evolution of the field, @PsychopharmEBPS v @npp_journal, writing/editing success, & more.

He always had a big smile and heavy pat on the back ready for me when we crossed paths at conferences. His work heavily influenced my own scientific curiosities and lines of research, and his guidance helped steer my academic career.
A simple thread here cannot do justice to the enormous role Klaus played in my development from undergraduate to Assistant Professor, and I will be forever grateful to him. Rest in peace.
Happy to share an article that I co-wrote with @LowethJessica for @ConversationUS talking about sex differences and hormonal contributions to opioid misuse and relapse susceptibility, featuring some recent highlights from our labs.

It was such a treat to welcome my former postdoc advisor @LCneuroscience for a visit here at @RowanVirtuaSOM! He delivered an amazing seminar to a packed @BehavioralRowan house, and I finally got to show him the lab. Can't thank this guy enough for his guidance and support!
If you're attending #WCBR2024 & teach or are interested in teaching, come to our panel Tuesday at 7PM to discuss ways to promote student engagement in neuroscience education! 1st floor, Peak 15-16. Hope to see you there 🧠⛷️👩🏼🏫
The first Kutlu Lab paper is published @SciReports!!!
We found that both observing and experiencing aversive footshock events cause NAc single-cell ensemble response with a sub-population responding bi-directionally to these events.

Big congratulations to X-less Corinne (3rd yr PhD student) for her 1st place best poster award at our graduate school's annual Research Retreat and Symposium this week! Way to go!
I was so delighted to be an invited speaker and have my grad students present their new work at the annual @MAPS_ASPET conference. We’re going to be celebrating @papadop_eleni winning 2nd prize in the grad student poster competition for a while 👏🏼🥳
