So glad to be here! Sharing knowledge with a lot of experts and young people. #LSFM2024
Thanks to @BioimagingNA for making it possible for the career development grant.

How do you image the large and the small at the same time? We developed new 🔬 technology to image centimeter-scale specimens - including whole mouse brains 🧠 - with diffraction-limited resolution and without sectioning. #mesoscale#imagingbiorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

The @NASAWebb is bringing on the stunning images from outer space: and @MDIBL has inner space covered. Our new #mesoSPIM 3D microscope is putting a unique lens on the subcellular universe. ow.ly/JCKu50MeQVF
Another @mesoSPIM is born - it was a lot of fun going from an (almost) empty table to a running #lightsheet#Microscope with @MarkoPende@PMurawala@MDIBL! This is my 8th installation and one of (now) 19 #mesoSPIM setups around the globe.
After 2 years of dreaming, we realize the outcome. The @mesoSPIM is functional @MDIBL. Support from @NIGMS, @voigtvision, @FritjofHelmchen, and @nvladimus was crucial for this success. Full credits to my postdoc @MarkoPende for getting this dream realized.

We provide a foundation for complex protein-based spatiotemporal circuit design in living cells and an experimental test-bed for leveraging synthetic biology to explore reaction diffusion systems.
This is only the start and we're eager to share our tools with the community!
Today, we’re introducing a new model that eliminates accept/reject decisions.
By publishing every paper with eLife reviews as a Reviewed Preprint, we plan to restore autonomy to authors, ensuring that they will be judged by what, not where, they publish. elifesciences.org/inside-eli…
Marko Pende, Ph.D. is a #postdoc in the Murawala lab at #MDIBL. He studies organ-wide structures and combines cutting edge microscopy methodologies to gain system-wide insight into the limb #regeneration process. Oh, and he sometimes masquerades as an #axolotl superhero.
End of the first Maine Microscopy: Foundations and Fundamentals! A success to be renewed ! Big thanks to the students, the faculty, @MarkoPende, Karissa Tilbury and INBRE for the support @NIGMS@NIH
The July issue is online now!
Articles on higher-order #microbiome interactions, the microbial volatilome, Fts-Z based #archaeal cell division, virulence in #pathogenic fungi, GI microbiomes and virus hosting in #bats, and much more!

The good news is already around for a while, but recently I have received the @FWF_at Eliser Richter grant to work on Cell DIvision Dynamics in cell-walled Archaea 🦠🔬 in the Rittmann group @Archaea_Vienna in collaboration with @nartimsoole and @SGribaldo Start: 01.09.2022!!! 🥰
