When it comes to edtech, the focus should always be on using it to improve the learning experience. It's not about using tech for tech's sake, but rather finding ways to incorporate it in ways that enrich the educational journey.
Sometimes I think I'm bad at my job as an instructional tech coach when people are like, "How can I integrate technology into this activity more?" and I'm just like, "Maybe don't?"
Tech opens some really cool doors, but not all of those doors benefit focus or learning.
Along with teaching, I am also a student. I use ChatGPT to transform my notes into mc questions organized into rows/columns to copy/paste to a spreadsheet, which I upload to Quizizz or Kahoot. The images show this process that takes minutes. My peers โค๏ธ me for this! #MyAIProcess
Feeling stressed? I created a "Self Care September" challenge to help anyone who works in a school (or anyone who breathes, tbh) to learn small, practical ways to take care of themselves. Give it a try!

"Putting students in a group and saying, 'Hey, go do this,' isnโt going to work. Spending time working with students to plan the groups, learn norms and routines, and understand what it means to be part of the classroom culture is key," @MrsSaid17 writes.

โI finally figured out why kids like you. You make us forget youโre the teacher. You blend in.โ
Me: โWell, Makayla, I am just a member of our class.
Sometimes, I have to be the head human, but most times, I am just one of the humans.
Love this โbad drawingโ. Itโs a mindset I hope to convey to students. I stopped memorizing formulas a long time ago. Itโs made all the difference.
