We have implemented additional animal entry requirements for animals coming to Georgia from the entire state of Texas and several counties in New Mexico. Compliance with these requirements is mandatory and essential to protect our states #1 industry, livestock, and pets. Follow @Gadeptag for the latest news and updates from my office.
In light of additional New World Screwworm detections, I have expanded Georgia's animal entry requirements to include the entire state of Texas and multiple counties in New Mexico. Anyone bringing warm-blooded animals into Georgia from affected areas must follow the updated entry requirements. Read more ⬇️ bit.ly/4ehw7GG

While there are no New World Screwworm cases in Georgia, we’re asking livestock and pet owners to keep a close watch on their animals. The most important thing you can do is know the signs and report suspected cases immediately. Watch for:     •    Draining or enlarging wounds     •    Maggots or egg masses in wounds     •    Signs of discomfort     •    Lesions in body openings (nose, ears, genitalia, umbilical area) Early detection is critical to protecting animal health. If you suspect NWS, report it right away to the Animal Health Division at 404-656-3667 or AnimalHealth@agr.georgia.gov

“Tyler Harper doesn’t just represent Ag. He comes from it, he lives it, and he fights for it every day.” Strong endorsement of @TylerHarperGA from Georgia Citrus Association ED Lindy Savelle and her husband Perry! #gapol
I’m thrilled to have Lindy and Perry Savelle - owners of JoNina Farm in Ochlocknee - supporting my campaign for re-election! Few Georgians have done more to support Georgia’s booming citrus industry than Lindy and Perry, and I’m deeply grateful to have them on Team Harper.

Two Great Georgians! #gapol
I’m proud to be supporting my friend @TimFlemingGA in the Republican runoff for Secretary of State! Tim knows Rural Georgia, and he knows that Georgia elections must be fair, secure, and transparent. He has the leadership and experience needed to get to work on behalf of Georgia families on day one, and I’d encourage all Georgians to vote Tim Fleming for SoS.

Grateful to our friends at the Madison-Morgan Conservancy for acquiring another 120 acres of working forest and timberland that will be permanently protected! We are working everyday with conservationists and conservation groups across our state in conjunction with the Georgia Farmland Conservation Fund to permanently protect and preserve Georgia farmland and forests.

When four companies control 85% of the US Beef market, American consumers pay higher prices and American farmers have fewer choices. We’re working overtime with @SecRollins & @POTUS to breakup corporate monopolies, restore competition to the marketplace, and lower prices for Georgia consumers.

May 2026 Yellow-legged Hornet Update 📢 Last month, the Plant Protection team began observing increased hawking activity around beehives — a sign that the Yellow-legged Hornet is transitioning into its secondary nesting phase. During May, the team: • Deployed 40 traps • Found 164 hornets • Eradicated 10 nests As hornet activity increases, it is more important than ever for Georgians to remain vigilant and watch for nests like those pictured. If you suspect you have identified a Yellow-legged Hornet nest or notice hawking behavior around your hives, please contact the Plant Protection team at yellow.legged.hornet@agr.georgia.gov.

The Great American Cotton Plan is a historic investment in American cotton production and promotion! As the #2 cotton producer in America, this will be a huge boost to Georgia Agriculture and to the farm families who fuel its success. Grateful to @SecRollins and @POTUS for continuing to put American farmers first.

James Talarico had no clue who Don Billingsley or Tim Riggins are.
Texas: James Talarico is the only candidate who will put you first.
