#LAC Great opportunity to meet with legislative leaders on important healthcare issues that effect our practice on a daily basis. Thanks to @ACEPNow for the superb guidance and tremendously talented speakers.

10 years ago my colleagues and I resuscitated this wonderful woman and every year she sends me a card. I don’t usually post things like this but especially now it’s important to remember why we do what we do. We do make a difference in someone’s life every day and we absolutely
What do Emergency Departments look like right now?
12 hour wait times
Unstable patients in hallways
Emergency surgeries delayed
Frustrated patients
HCWs struggling to find energy empathy
We are crushed. We need help
Dr. David Curley has been named medical director of The Miriam Hospital Emergency Department. Please join us in wishing him well in his new role! bit.ly/3o1dRJb
Quite a yarn from @TollyTaylor
Docs are alarmed by a push to revamp the RI ambulance board
Firefighters - via Mayor Polisena - say they won’t transport to those docs’ hospitals
Now @commoncauseri says the bill they’re fighting over is unconstitutional! wpri.com/target-12/polisena-…
@RIHouseofReps unanimously passes lifesaving bill H5629 that will require all 911 operators to be trained & prepared to provide CPR instruction over the phone in an emergency. Thank you @MiaForRep for your leadership! Time for @RISenate to act! @Medicgiusep@potvinj41@RIMedSoc
The accusation by Johnston Mayor Polisena that emergency medicine physicians "are in this to make money," is disgusting and out of line. I have given up financial opportunities because of my passion for EMS. I demand a public and written apology from Mayor Polisena. 3/3
The bills effectively strip the regulatory power over EMS from @RIHEALTH and would allow things like medical protocols to be changed and implemented by a committee vote instead of science backed evidence. Contact your state rep and urge them to vote no. 2/3
Listen to Joe! We have worked so hard to improve #stroke care in Rhode Island. Let’s not throw it all away.
#EMS is perhaps the most essential link in the chain of survival for many diseases.
@RIHEALTH must have oversight.
@JDeLucaABC6 @BTaylorABC6 @CarolineGoggin@RIprobz 🙏🏻
@RIHEALTH has done an amazing job during the COVID 19 crisis supporting EMS, fire and front line professionals so why would we remove their regulatory oversight for EMS? VOTE NO on RI House Bill 6282 and Senate Bill 860.
