Finally final?
Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon. The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland. We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. I would also especially thank the visionary leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Türkiye for their immense contributions in this regard. With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week. These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony. @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @SecRubio @SteveWitkoff @SEPeaceMissions @drpezeshkian @mb_ghalibaf @araghchi

Read the comments. The imbeciles still fall for this bit - hook, line and sinker every damn time.
🚨 🚨 BRAKING 🚨 🚨 Today we wish a happy 80th birthday to President Trump. Here are 9 FACTS that the mainstream media won’t admit 1. He invented commercial real estate 2. He’s defeated inflation 3. He’s defeated Iran 4. 3 successful marriages, 5 kids, 21 grandkids 5. He’s deported more illegal immigrants in 18 months than all other presidents combined 6. I got gas for less than $1 a gallon today and was paying 10X that under Biden 7. He is the most devout Christian president in history 8. No president has read or loved the Bible like him. He even made his own 9. He’s now the oldest president in history Thank you, sir. Our greatest president, Benjamin Franklin, is looking down at you and smiling

All these people from around the world visiting for the World Cup seem so genuinely appreciative and grateful to their hosts. Can we make them the new wave of migrants? Is that asking too much? To want someone who appreciates what this country stands for?

Abe Lincoln would never have stood for Americans fighting each other.
I still am struggling to wrap my head around the fact this is actually happening… Don’t care what your political views are, EVERYONE should be absolutely embarrassed & ashamed that this is happening at the Lincoln Memorial & White House. What a joke.

The Dodgers pitcher has a perfect game no-hitter through 6. What are the odds Roberts pulls him before he can complete it? #whitesox

Fuck! I’ve planned this so long. The moments of silence, disgrace. What are you Americans doing with this USA chant!? Don’t you realize this is helping a literal fascist?

If people in this country were like the left today, the responses to this news would provide an excellent starting point for who should be sent to re-education camps. But since that’s the sole property of communists, they need not worry about it.

It seems to me that Getz is doing this rebuild almost exclusively with American born players as much for clubhouse culture as anything else. He saw the last rebuild with mainly foreign born players as a problem. Thoughts? @North2North @martymaciaszek
The White Sox entered today with approximately $660,000 remaining in international bonus pool money for the 2025–26 signing period. Today, they traded $250,000 to the Guardians and another $250,000 to the Phillies in two separate deals.

“Until shovels are in the ground” has become the common mantra for those who are denying the inevitable. Trust me. Life will still go on. As the Stones once sang, “you can’t always get what you want….but if you try sometimes….you get….”
Yea, so this shit is no where near final. All a smoke and mirrors until shovels are in the ground, I still think it’s gonna end up being Arlington Heights

I watch the white Sox as a fan for pleasure. Whoever came up with this arrogant ass Bob Costas trying to do some 80’s night should be canned immediately. He was insufferable then and nothing’s changed.

This Mitch Marner kid is impressive Didn’t know much about him as he scored a hat trick in the second period. But then I watched his interview between the periods and I realized immediately that he was raised right. Very very impressive #stanleycup

Must read if you really want to know what’s going on with the #bears stadium deal.
Chicago lost the Bears this week. A team that's been in the city since 1921. They didn't lose them to a bigger market or a better deal. The Bears decided they'd rather be a tenant in Indiana than deal with Illinois for one more year. Think about how badly you have to run a place for that to be the smart move. They lost them for two reasons. The people running Illinois would rather villainize a builder than keep one. And they're bad at their jobs. In 2021 the Bears spent $197M on the old Arlington Park racetrack. Before they could break ground, Cook County valued the empty lot at $192M (Bears said $60M). They were salivating at the chance to extort a building that didn't even exist yet. That fight dragged on for years. The Bears were ready to put $2B into the stadium. All they wanted was a promise the county wouldn't reassess them into oblivion, plus $855M for infrastructure everyone uses. Roads, transit, utilities. A $3B project, two thirds of it private money pouring into Illinois. Springfield had since 2021 to get this done. They dragged it to the final night of session, passed it through the Senate at 3:39AM, and the House went home without voting. So now it's all gone. The funniest part? This started because Cook County tried to grab the tax early. They knew a built stadium would pay $53M a year. Now they get under $4M on a vacant lot. No jobs, no buildout, no new anything. Congrats on fighting for scraps and losing the whole prize. Pritzker: they're "an $8.5B valued business" that doesn't need propping up. But be smart for a second. Almost every NFL city throws in public money for a stadium. Not charity. The return is real. Tourism, hotels, restaurants, jobs, game days, property tax on a huge development. The math works. Indiana did the math. While Illinois sat on it for years, Indiana passed a bill in months, put up $1B, and took the team. And the Bears took a worse deal to get there. In Illinois they were going to own their stadium. In Indiana they rent it from the state. A team that wanted to build its own home gave up ownership just to escape Chicago. Nobody won but Indiana. The Bears lost their stadium. Illinois lost the team, the $2B, and $53M a year in taxes. Pritzker after they left: "I wasn't willing to give up billions of dollars of taxpayer money to give it to a billionaire-owned family or team." There it is. "Billionaire-owned." That's how Democrats talk about any business right before they run it out of town. Call them a billionaire, act like you're saving working families, take a victory lap while the tax base drives across the state line. Meanwhile they're running the whole state into the ground. And you already know how this ends. You're living in it. Pensions are $143B in the hole, worst in the country and not close. You pay $6,285 a year in property taxes, double the $2,969 national average, for a city that's $1.15B in the red. The mayor called its finances "the point of no return." When you run things this badly, you sell what's left. They leased the parking meters for 75 years to Morgan Stanley and a sovereign wealth fund in Abu Dhabi. Took $1.15B and burned through it in two years. The investors already made it all back, with 58 years left to collect. Sold the Skyway. Sold the downtown garages. Every asset that made money, gone for one check. But a fixed property tax rate for a team that's been here 106 years? That's "propping up billionaires." Companies are leaving. Boeing for Virginia. Caterpillar for Texas. Citadel for Miami. In 2023 alone Illinois lost 56,000 people and $6B in income to other states. The ones who left earned a third more than the ones who moved in. Indiana didn't outbid anyone. AAA credit, 16 years straight. A $676M surplus. Fourth-lowest debt per person in the country. They just weren't a disaster. Illinois could have collected $53M a year. It chose zero. Ignore all the bad management but make sure to stick it to those evil, pesky billionaires.

If you’ve ever watched the Bosch series, you would know it features two female characters of opposite competency. First Mimi Rogers who is the gold standard for female actresses. Feminine guile and wit. Then there’s Madison Lintz. Absolutely horrible in every way.

Just me. But female film stars should be more Honey Chandler than any other 120 lb nymph who believes she can beat an average male.
