I used to think running was about numbers.
Faster pace.
Longer distance.
More achievements.
For years, I tried to push my limits.
My first marathon taught me discipline.
The next ones taught me patience.
After 5 full marathons, trail races, and many years of running…
My perspective slowly changed.
I no longer run to prove how far I can go.
I run because I want to still be moving 10, 20, 30 years from now.
Training hard matters.
But so does sleeping well.
Recovering properly.
Listening to my body.
Knowing when to slow down.
The younger version of me chased limits.
The current version of me is learning longevity.
The goal changed.
Not faster.
Not farther.
Just healthier,
for longer. 🌱
