My review of BLR after a few months here Pros: - Good weather - Language issues not as much as portrayed - Amazing variety of food - Greenery in quite some parts - Heart of South India; most places in TN, Kerala, Karnataka and southern parts of Andhra can be reached in a few hours - Delicious thatte idli in older hotels - Amazing Carnatic music culture for a person like me. They even play Carnatic instrumental songs in the mornings in Majestic metro station. Cons: - Traffic is really bad - Roads are horrible in certain places - Auto drivers are rude, rapido ones are better - Looting culture - Sambar - Don't expect North India level chaat options here - As long as you stay near a metro, it's fine, otherwise it's hell. Accessing Marathahalli and such areas is quite problematic.
