Math teachers - please eliminate questions that may penalize students for not having familiarity with a context that you assume they have. While there are many culturally-biased examples of this, even questions like this cause unnecessary confusion that obscures assessment.

Grade 4/5 students in Ms Morin’s class @PsConnaught where adding masses to determine the mass of various classroom objects. Notice how these Ss used a paper clip as 1 gram. They found out the glue stick was 37 grams.
