We ended the 2026 session around 5 AM this morning and we went out with a bang!
1) FL style voting is on the ballot. No Hobbs signature required. The people of AZ decide if they want voter ID, citizenship requirements, and no more prolonged counting of ballots.
2) Empowerment Scholarships will be safe. Two thirds of AZ voters love ESAs. Now they can’t be dismantled.
3) No more teacher’s unions using our public tax payer dollars to indoctrinate our children.
All on the ballot this November.
Democrats are now scrambling to raise money to fight back. Your AZ Republicans finally went on offense and crippled them for the midterms.
We fought for the people of AZ and we delivered in a huge way. Onward to November!!!

As a former school board member for @PhoenixUnion I can tell you the public school system views ESAs as their #1 threat.
Heard it directly from staff. It's the admin, the union reps, the contractors, and the electeds who protect the system. They all feel threatened.

@12News This is a massive error for your station and this reporter. ADE has come out conclusively with accurate unallowed rates, and even after correction, @CraigHarrisNews botched his calculations and reporting because of intense bias against the ESA program. Retract!

And Joe, let the record state that Craig produced multiple “20%” figures.
Initially he claimed that the program had 20% misspending. That is outright false. We debunked it immediately but he wouldn’t listen. Instead he continued to push that claim, and also claimed that 20% of accounts had purchased something unallowed. That may or may not be true, but the reality is that less than 2% of transactions were unallowed and even the vast majority of those were innocent mistakes like buying backpacks, while only 0.3% were egregious items like diamond rings.
The way Craig spun the story, it sounded like 20% of transactions were for diamond rings.
Anyone with a shred of journalistic integrity would run a retraction. Then again, if he had any journalistic integrity, he wouldn’t be here.
