1/ We've obtained 2025 data from @TfL @VivacityLabs traffic survey cameras on Chiswick High Rd. Spoiler alert - the numbers of people cycling continues to grow! @LBofHounslow @KatherineDunne @Shansview @WillNorman

Breaking ground on London’s newest Cycleway - C34 from Wood Lane to Shepherd’s Bush Green (and then planned to go across Holland Park Roundabout). We’ve expanded London’s Cycleway network to over 400km & the no. of daily journeys has grown to over 1.3m 🚲🚲 #LondonLovesCycling

A school in Hammersmith has had to take matters into its own hands to block a road outside the school gates after an elderly gentleman was knocked over by a reversing van in front of children this week. Ravenscourt Av. The school has lobbied for a school street for years.

The City of London is experiencing the Copenhagen effect. Reallocate road space away from motor vehicles (Bishopsgate, Bank, Lime St, numerous modal filters, one ways with cycle counter flows) and you get meaningful modal shift. A wake up call for the rest of London

Thanks - we’re not on twitter much these days but happy to have a friendly exchange like this ! It is indeed a little insane (with alas some real life consequences - Christina Kong was killed on a part of the route that was delayed because of @rbkc actions)

A weird thing happened after Hammersmith Bridge was closed to vehicles — the traffic count on the neighbouring bridges (Kew, Putney, Chiswick) actually FELL. As a result, reopening the bridge to motor vehicles will never happen. Meanwhile, rejoicing:
Cycling across Hammersmith Bridge in the space that used to carry over 20,000 cars per day is never going to get old.

30 months since the launch of the latest iteration of a Notting shill Gate action plan (3rd one in 40 years!)…….zero delivery, zero updates…except council leadership have vetoed any form of cycle lane @josephpowell @willnorman

Just seen this drawing of the new Holland Park Roundabout. THANK GOD someone is at last taking seriously the safety of vulnerable road users. Having a Grand Prix here every day is ridiculous. I'm speaking as one who uses it constantly, and it's a huge barrier to happy commuting.

Interesting evening at the @japanhouseldn hearing about all the good work done by @Opp_Kensington to revitalise Ken High Street and about residents feedback that it is a 'motorway with shops around'. Doesn't sound like @RBKC 's invisible cycle lane made any impact then 🤨!!

High St Ken… unlike @rbkc we actually asked the businesses on the High St whether they were happy to have a 🚲 lane there - virtually all said “yes”. Pathetic from @rbkc who also won’t divulge the @Opp_Kensington report on @rbkc farce on High St Ken @CllrCatherineF

👇 on transport to Olympia - when re-opening a vast venue with huge transport needs. It is utter madness that @rbkc block a safe 🚲 route to it, that would provide cheap, space efficient, healthy and sustainable transport. Please help @TfL @MayorofLondon @willnorman @LouHaigh

Sloane Square. Over 20 years ago @rbkc proposed changing the traffic island into a great civic space - the sort of transformation seen at Trafalgar Square. After inevitable objections about space for cars, they gave up. 1/2

Cycling on Blackfriars Bridge increased 55% in 6 months after the cycle lane was built. Today at peak times there are 25 cyclists per minute: 70% of traffic in 20% of roadspace. We KNOW what works. lcc.org.uk/impact/
