#OTD in 1942, this photo was taken during the Davison construction project, showing the nearly completed Woodward bridge over the freeway. The Davison, which runs east-west between M-10 & I-75, was arguably the first urban freeway constructed in the US: detroithistorical.org/learn/…
70 years ago today, the Korean War was effectively ended with the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement . This shot from our collection shows a Dearborn donation drive underway for Korean War victims in June 1953.
