To maximize #cassava production, rain is usually not enough. Irrigation is widely used in Asia where they get top yields. Valentine Eleta from #Nigeria is doing a PhD to work out how water use can be optimized with fertilizer to boost yields @ACAI_IITA
ALT Valentine is using a Chlorophyll meter which measures the chlorophyll content of leaves (more chlorophyll in healthy vigorous plants) without damaging the leaf or having to remove it
