Very strange. Setting aside that calling them a boys party vs a girls party is a huge exaggeration, what would it prove? Parties exist to represent interests, and being unbalanced in what interests they represent is totally expected. Why is gender different?
I’m not even super right wing on questions of suffrage. I’m certainly willing to entertain all kinds of arrangements. But what I believe pretty strongly is that there are no intellectuals remaining on the left with respect to this stuff. I just literally don’t know how you can watch us speed run into having a girls party and a boys party and still have basically no introspection about the intersection of gender and politics beyond just, “patriarchy bad.”
Like, never, even in your darkest moments, even when you’re alone on a desert island and no one can see you or hear you and there’s no risk of you getting in trouble, do you ever think critically about the consequences of universal suffrage? Do you literally have no critiques? Do you genuinely believe there are no downsides? Will you not allow yourself to have any ordinary thoughts at all?

for the record: no, I do not have any critiques of universal suffrage. A concept. "I wish people would vote the way I wish they voted" is an ordinary thought, but for the same reason that "I wish people liked what I liked and didn't like what I don't like" is an ordinary thought.

I’ve defended the administration’s America 250 plans, because I trusted they really would be non partisan, really would bring us together. But I was wrong. And it sucks. I also apologize to the musical acts who dropped out who I criticized. They saw it.

Dude AI does not move faster than my thoughts, it takes like 10-20 seconds between the prompt and the answer! And with the newer reasoning models it's worse! We've been knowing that developing with ai makes you slower because you spend more time reviewing
