When you see this and say that it’s politically motivated, something is really wrong with you. History won’t be kind to you. #Manipur

Walk the talk.
Manipur police chief Mukesh Singh has warned that those who try to take the law into their hands or fire at security forces will be strictly dealt with.

Many in journalism, civil society and politics, of all hues, played moral posturing games on the lives of #Manipur citizens to suit their mainland needs. Our miseries was fodder for your politics. You shamefully and with arrogance Misled ordinary Indian citizens too. You did not care or bother to even listen, forget trying to understand. You demonised one or the other society to suit your purposes. You tried to discredit other people from these 3 streams who were honestly trying to understand better. Today when you don't see the changed nature of conflict fit your agenda you are in wait and watch mode. Waiting till we have enough citizens lost and for the dead to first suit your politics, for you to play your savior complex again.

The “Strait of Hormuz” no one’s talking about. Remember, the economy of Manipur has been destroyed since 2023 and people have to face this kind of inflation. Yet the situation has been normalised.

Interesting how mainland Indians are outraged at PM Modi for not condemning/mentioning the recent deaths of the seafarers in West Asia. Meanwhile, citizens of #Manipur since 2023:

The parachute pundits of 2023 are nowhere to be found/seen these days, especially after the latest episode of “Minority Christians” butchering members of another “Minority Christians”. #ManipurCrisis
The silence is profound over what's happening in Manipur. Unlike 2023, the vocabulary broke down this time. "How can Christians kill Christians?" — But there have always been layers here that the mainland's framework can't hold. And this is the pattern: when a situation defies easy categorisation, it disappears. ("how can we fit it all in just 1 minute for the reels, nobody understands Manipur anyway").

Stop insulting the public's intelligence. People are not fools. How did the police and security forces know the exact location right after the Kuki individuals were released? The obvious question is whether you had prior information.
After nearly 24 hours of sustained search operations involving around 450 personnel of the Manipur Police, CRPF, and Assam Rifles, assisted by sniffer dogs and forensic expert teams, the mortal remains of six persons were recovered this afternoon. The deceased are believed to be among those taken hostage from Leilon Vaiphei on 13 May 2026. Necessary legal formalities are being carried out by the police, and the investigation is underway.

The people of Nagaland & Meghalaya should implore their chief ministers to stop interfering in matters that concern Manipur. They should not meddle in matters they cannot apprehend. #ManipurCrisis

The citizens of Manipur have been taken for a ride since May 3rd, 2023. The sooner you realise that the better. #ManipurCrisis

C’mon bro. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Targeting of Kukis. Think of how Muslims are being targeted elsewhere. Nothing else.

The proof will be in the pudding. We’ve seen a large contingent of SFs deployed in Manipur since 2023. Yet the result has not been encouraging to say the least. Let’s wait and see how the CoBRA battalions fare. #ManipurCrisis
Just to say the CoBRA battalion is entering Manipur. The elite jungle war fare unit of CRPF specialises in tracking, hunting and neutralising insurgents. Example: once upon a time there were the Naxals. I would be in a state of existential crisis if I was on the wrong side of the law in Manipur.

Wait. He said “armed miscreants” and you assumed it’s the Kukis. Says a lot about the #ManipurCrisis.
Manipur is a political problem. This targeting of Kukis by the CRPF is only going to worsen matters.

Isn’t Kautilya3 the username of Uday Reddy, the university of Birmingham academic? He is the same person who framed Manipur riots as Hindu Meiteis killing Christian Kukis when violence began in May 2023. He seeded that narrative. One of the earliest attempts to define the conflict for a global audience came from there.
🚨NEW INVESTIGATION: A Fortune 500 company reportedly cancelled a @HinduAmerican training session after employees circulated its Wikipedia page. That page tells readers HAF aligns with Hindu nationalism, threatens academic freedom, and has been accused of acting as a foreign agent. We traced who built that narrative. The same handful of accounts kept appearing across HAF, its critics, activist groups, and key public figures—building an interconnected narrative that now feeds Google and AI systems. There are forces who seek ‘permanent division’ of #Manipur. Exhibit A
A resettlement of village means that the hope of going back to a peaceful and fraternal Manipur have been permanently extinguished. The divisions are now permanent.

It was never about “valley vs hills”. Journalists like yourself peddled that garbage. #ManipurCrisis
Manipur’s fault line is no longer just valley vs hills. The Naga-Kuki front is now erupting. What began as scuffles spiralled into violence, civilian abductions, a hostage crises. With a long history of conflict between the Nagas and Kukis, security agencies fear escalation. But what triggered this shift and what is being done to manage the crisis ? @dgupta_moushumi and I try to answer in this report. theprint.in/politics/the-new… via @theprintindia

“If outsiders come and settle here, we will be minority in our own land” Sounds familiar. Where have I sensed such sentiments before? 🤔
"When we were part of Jammu & Kashmir, we were protected by Article 370 of the Constitution. Our land was safe from outsiders. Since Article 370 was removed, we are without safeguards... No one from J&K came and settled here in the past 70 years."

“The accused joined the UKNA in 2021, after deserting another insurgent group, which is in a ‘Suspension of Operations’ pact or peace deal with the government.” Interesting. Very conveniently protecting the SoO groups. Btw which SoO group did he desert from?
The Assam Rifles have apprehended a key member of the United Kuki National Army (UKNA), an insurgent group active in Manipur’s Churachandpur, who is wanted for the alleged abduction and murder of two Meitei students in July 2023, a senior government official said. ✍️@vijaita thehindu.com/news/national/a…
