Next week I’ll be starting as an Assistant Professor at the @VUamsterdam, working on superbugs and their phages. I’m obviously very excited:). Together with @MattiGralka we’ll soon be looking for a PhD-student working on phages in bacterial communities, stay tuned! (1/4)
I’ll be joining the Molecular Microbiology department of @edith_houben , @wilbertbitter, @sluirink and many others at @ALIFE_VU. Hard to imagine a more fantastic place. I’m looking forward to building collaborations in this highly multidisciplinary environment.
On a personal note, Cologne was great fun but I’m also happy to be back in the Netherlands. I am aware academia often requires difficult tradeoffs, and I feel incredibly grateful and lucky to have landed such a dream job and simultaneously live close-by family and many friends.
