💹 NSW boosts biosecurity with $1.05 billion💰
In June 2025, the NSW Government announced a record $1.05 billion commitment to strengthen the state’s biosecurity system. This includes an extra $100 million to build a sustainable, integrated approach to protecting agriculture and the environment.
This funding will:
✅ enhance protection, detection and response to pests, diseases and weeds
🔍 expand surveillance programs
🚨 increase emergency response capacity.
This investment is set to secure the future of NSW’s agricultural industries and give farmers the tools and resources they need to adapt and thrive.
