Ta very much for bringing the multilingual library to Stirling, Scotland! I enjoyed a shared reading of a colourful Korean book, a sweet Welsh-English book and discovering the Cree script! @MultilingLondon @hmking_linguist 📚🎒 #langsky #languages #picturebooks #EDI #schools

Love this - and while we are at it, can we make those libraries multilingual, please?
I was at the House of Commons today in support of the campaign to put libraries in primary schools. As I walked down the corridor, I came face to face with Michael Gove. I asked him if I could borrow a fronted adverbial off him, as I had left mine at home.

The 4th Forum of Heritage Language Coalitions in Europe conference took place last week-end, with 260 registrants speaking 40 languages. What a fabulous organising committee to be a part of. Subscribe to the newsletter at hlenet.org/

The Power of Picture Books 📚 Picture books ignite curiosity and build a love for reading! Through vibrant visuals, they help kids understand stories, learn new words, and enjoy reading together. A perfect start to lifelong reading! ❤️ #bookedug #childrenslibrary

Fantastic to see this report in print & to have contributed in a small way. I look forward to the changes it will bring (like more emphasis on spoken language in the NC, greater space for dialogue in classrooms, better teacher training on oracy) 1/2
We need to talk about oracy—what it is, why it matters, and why it matters now, in particular. We are proud to share the final report from The Oracy Education Commission, including our findings and recommendations. We need to talk👇 bit.ly/OEC-report

NEW STUDY shows, yet again, that schoolchildren who speak more than one languages tend to perform better, including in subjects such as English. Speak all the languages you can to your child(ren). tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.…
