A huge amount of the weird and sudden turn to anti-Hyde sentiment is largely just because of factionalism and it’s incredibly tedious to pretend otherwise. People are hating on him primarily because he did a video with Fuentes. Some people just say that outright but most people are lying about the reason. And I’ve watched groupchats turn in real time from “yeah I don’t think Sam Hyde is as funny as he used to be, his stuff isn’t really my cup of tea,” to “Sam Hyde is a fucking loser, I’ve always hated that guy, fat annoying retard. Super pretentious know-it-all. Scumbag. I heard he fucked a 17-year-old girl once, he’s a sexpest, basically a pedophile” and everything else you can imagine, just inventing new reasons to hate him rather than admitting the real reason, in the span of maybe a month, but more realistically about 2 weeks.
