Workers who do the hard work of organizing and unionizing deserve a fair and fast shot at a first contract — not endless delay tactics designed to run out the clock. In New Hampshire, nurses voted to form the state’s first union at a private hospital — but still don’t have a contract. That’s why I’m working to pass our bipartisan Faster Labor Contracts Act and standing with New Hampshire nurses and workers who are fighting for dignity, fairness, and a voice on the job.

These measures are a solution in search of a problem and part of a steady march to limit who can vote. Now President Trump wants to create lists of who can vote. Let’s be clear, this isn’t about election integrity, it’s about intimidation and control. apnews.com/article/donald-tr…

Here in New Hampshire, legitimate voters are already being turned away during elections due to onerous voter registration requirements that create unnecessary hurdles. Republicans in Concord have now sent a bill to Governor Ayotte that eliminates student ID’s for voting.

Across the country and in Washington, DC we’re seeing a concerted effort to put up barriers that make it more challenging for legal voters to access the ballot box.

Great morning with our Union Brothers and Sisters yesterday. I’m proud to be working alongside these leaders to make sure every worker gets a fair deal in New Hampshire. When we invest in our workers, we build a stronger Granite State. 🇺🇸

Thank you to the bipartisan coalition of legislators who stood in #solidarity w/NH workers and against out-of-state corporate special interest groups to defeat HB 1704. This anti-union model bill from @ALEC_states has no place in the Granite State. #NHPolitics #1u

Use the link below to tell the Labor Committee to vote NO on HB 1704-FN. We don’t need chaos and higher property taxes: actionnetwork.org/letters/te… #nhpolitics
HB 1704 is a mess. It forces towns and cities to negotiate individual contracts w/every public worker who asks for one. It’s disruptive, unnecessary, & will raise our property taxes. Tell the Labor Committee to ITL HB 1704! - Rick Laughton, Local 633 Business Agent #NHPolitics

Appreciate the attention on HB 1704‑FN. No matter your politics, the financial hit to communities like Laconia is real. This bill drives up admin costs, legal risk, and operational burdens and those costs land squarely on local taxpayers.

Let’s be honest: HB 675 centralizes power, overrides local voters, and forces towns to send “extra” tax dollars to Concord. That’s not tax relief it’s blatant disregard for local control.

Communities across NH have rejected school budget caps, yet HB 675 is back. A statewide cap would strip local control, force cuts, and lock in inequities—especially with rising costs like this fall’s health insurance spikes. Tell reps: oppose HB 675 ➡️ secure.everyaction.com/ooSgo…
