In response to significant rollbacks to endangered species protections proposed by the Trump administration & Congress, more than 10,000 people of faith, along with hundreds of scientists, called for a strong Endangered Species Act.

Each and every animal is an integral part of God's creation. Our faith demands that we respect, honor, and care for God's handiwork - not allow precious species to disappear one by one. #creationcare#endangeredspecies
Great op-ed from Rev. Rich Killmer of Maine on the current threats facing the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge & the Gwich'in people who call it home.

Yesterday, NRPE staff offered testimony before @EPA, opposing their repeal of critical safeguards against dangerous mercury pollution & air toxins from coal & gas power plants.
This repeal will harm millions of Americans, including our neighbors in #Georgia and #Pennsylvania.

❤️We were honored to help mobilize the faith community advocate for the Springfield 1908 Race Riot National Monument.
🕊️Confronting & naming grave injustices & sins of the past help us to move closer to the future of justice & peace that God calls us towards.
God's Creation deserves better.
Senate Republicans are continuing their push to sell off America's Arctic to offset tax breaks for those with plenty, threatening Indigenous communities, wildlife, & the climate. Congress: #StopTheArcticSellOff and commit to a #MoralBudget!
We hear you @RepRyanZinke! And, couldn't agree more that our public lands -- God's Creation -- shouldn't be sold. These are the places where we pray and play. #godslands
Honored to join pastors and leaders in the Black church from Savannah, GA and across GA-01 meeting with @RepBuddyCarter.
The pastors' message was simple: Our faith demands that we care for God's Creation and stand up for vulnerable communities impacted by climate change.
The current budget reconciliation proposal disregards both of those moral demands. By repealing clean energy tax credits, mandating oil and gas drilling, and selling public lands - H.R.1 fails God's Creation and God's people.

To treat land, water, wildlife, and wilderness as mere commodities—up for sale to the highest bidder—is a violation of both Scripture and conscience. This is not stewardship. It is desecration. Fueled by reckless greed.

Yesterday, @EPA unveiled a proposal to repeal 2 life-saving air pollution standards. The proposal would roll back safeguards on mercury, heavy metals and other hazardous pollutants, and climate-warming carbon pollution from fossil fuel power plants. More: CreationCare.org/Blog
We are grateful to @SenFettermanPA for meeting with us and honored to pray with him. May he and all of our elected officials be guided and strengthened by the Spirit; may they heed God's call to care for creation and for our most vulnerable brothers and sisters.
A special meeting with religious leaders from Pennsylvania and across the country, all advocating to restore forgotten communities from environmental harms they’ve experienced—a cause I’ve championed since being a mayor.
Grateful for their leadership and to be here with them.
ALT Surrounded by religious leaders from Pennsylvania and across the country, Senator Fetterman and the group bow their heads in a circle of prayer.

Happy #EarthDay from Catholic Climate Covenant! In our work, we lean on #LaudatoSi and ask, "what need does the earth have of us?"
Today we celebrate God's beautiful creation, and tomorrow we get to work responding to its cries - now more than ever. #EcoCatholic
