The NTBird Club produces the annual report βBirds in Northumbriaβ, holds regular indoor meetings and field trips. Retweets for interest but not an endorsement.
This beautifully produced, 226 page softcover book contains colour photos, maps & detailed accounts from one of Northumberlandβs most important coastal sites. Itβs highly recommended. π

Even by my lax photographic standards, these are pretty lame, but they were distant and windy. AGP from Holy Island causeway and Curlew Sand at Druridge, from wanderings today. @NTBirdClub@DurhamBirdClub@teesbirds1
Grey Partridge next to Gosforth Bridlepath this afternoon, a rare sight here these days - its response to a couple of Magpies suggested it may have had a brood of young stashed nearby - some hope for the future @NTBirdClub
No White-throated Needletails amongst the hirundines and Swifts at Gosforth Subsidence Pond this afternoon but a canny bonus was a Red Kite riding one of the thermals @andymould10@NTBirdClub
Dreadful weather to be out and about in early morning here today. But being soaked through and frozen turned out to be worth it when, 5 days after it's first appearance the 2nd winter Glaucous Gull showed up at Woodhorn again.@NTBirdClub
Nice to be back Northumberland for a couple of days - absolutely freezing but top views of Eiders and 3 Red-brested merganser with plenty of waders at Alnmouth today including Curlew, Redshank, Bar-wit, Grey Plover, Turnstone and Oycs @ForShorebirds@NorthWildlife@NTBirdClub
Another excellent wader filled walk up to Boulmer on the Northumberland coast today - with Barwit, Sanderling, Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Curlew & Turnstone all showing well and a Purple Sandpiper was new for the year as were 2 Gannets @ForShorebirds@NorthWildlife@NTBirdClub
