I was baited at this with my son born in 2012. They ordered a level 2 ultrasound for my son because some measurements seemed abnormal. It was an appreciated but things got dark when we met with the geneticist. She did her diligence in asking about family history with health related issues. There is no doubt this was an expert level of care. Then she asked if we would consent to getting a sample of Tobi’s DNA to test for abnormalities and we can “make decisions” from these. I told her thank you but I don’t appreciate what decisions she might be referring to. She was referring to abortion as an option genetic disorders like Tricomy 18 or Downs Syndrome. I had just read an article a few months before finding studies that Downs Syndrome has been eradicated from Norway and Denmark. Not as a result of medical innovation, rather testing and killing each one who doesn’t belong. This shadowed sickness is not going away gets exposed to light in videos like this. People with Downs are some of the most joy filled on the planet, why can’t we be happy with them and let them live?
