Never forget that this guy had no problem yes-sirring the oppressor while his subjects were suffering and only took offence when asked to eat meat.

Honestly, I'm not sure why markets are going berserk on the #IranWar‌ deal, despite so many hidden points. 19th is still far away. Israel has bombed Beirut yesterday.
#IranDeal while the MoU has not been officially made public, Iranian media claims it includes a 300 billion dollar compensation fund, a commitment to release $24 billion of frozen funds. Nothing on the above from Trump. Separately, Vance tells Fox, he may go for the signing in Geneva on 19th. Reports also suggest Netanyahu has rejected the Lebanon clause and IDF will not withdraw. Plenty of contested issues @CNBCTV18Live @CNBCTV18News #CNBCTV18Market

The FIFA World Cup is, no doubt, the biggest global single-sport tournament, with a quarter of all countries present. But if you go by population, the numbers are interesting. The 20 countries that took part in the 2026 Cricket T20 World Cup have a population of 2.50 billion people. The 48 countries that are taking part in the 2026 Football World Cup have a combined population of only 2.25 billion! The gap would be more if Bangladesh hadn't dropped out this year - the combined population of countries playing in the 2024 T20 World Cup was a whopping 2.65 billion. Obviously India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan contribute hugely to those numbers - but countries like Italy have also chipped in - present for the cricket T20 World Cup but not football! It's also interesting that out of the top 10 countries by population in the world, only 2 are playing the FIFA World Cup - the US and Brazil! India, China, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Russia and Ethiopia are all missing. Having said that, it's certainly true that football is still the biggest global sport because virtually all countries in the world will watch this World Cup! Cricket would not be watched by the vast majority of nations.

Sir, Why such questionable & "paid-looking" posts on the dodgy cryptos that have wrecked so many of their life's savings? That too with replies blocked?🤔

#Zerodha's brokerage business is really going from bad to worse. Their Referral program is back - the same marketing gimmick which allowed dodgy finfluencers to pushed the ignorant gullible Indian masses to gamble in F&O. Commission-khori aur dalali jo na karaye, wo kam hai 😏

A Life That Served a Purpose In a world chasing fleeting applause, some souls choose the long, quiet road of service. Today, welfare economist Jean Drèze has been honoured with a global award for his profound research on poverty and inequality in India. Born in Belgium, he made India his home and its people his purpose. With a scholar’s rigour and a revolutionary’s heart, he stood beside the forgotten—documenting their struggles, amplifying their voices, and shaping policies that reached millions. His tireless advocacy helped birth two landmark legislations that still stand as lifelines: the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA), which offered dignity through work to the rural poor, and the National Food Security Act, which sought to ensure no one sleeps hungry in a land of plenty. This is not just an award. It is recognition of a life lived in radical empathy. Of choosing dusty villages over ivory towers. Of measuring success not in citations or comfort, but in the quiet lifting of human suffering. Jean Drèze reminds us that the highest calling is to use one’s intellect, privilege, and time in the service of those who have the least. In an age of cynicism, his journey is a living ode: To knowledge that heals. To scholarship that serves. To a life that mattered. Congratulations and Thank You Professor Drèze. India is better because you walked among us. May your example inspire a new generation to stop performing compassion and start practising it—with depth, persistence, and love. 🧡 🙏 #JeanDreze #ServiceAboveSelf #India #SocialJustice
